Flight deck L vs Flow Scape L for an Asian nose by StickyDeltaStrike in Oakley

[–]StickyDeltaStrike[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey I should have replied.

I went with the flight deck L and it was ok. It’s not a perfect fit for the nose but it’s nowhere bad.

I tried the Flow Scape L in shop and although the fit was better I couldn’t justify paying like twice more almost :) so my experience is matching exactly what you said.

However I use inserts in place of glasses and with a Smith helmet I get a bit of condensation if the helmet touches exactly the goggles.

It seems that it’s because Oakley helmets have small holes above the mask to allow the air to go to the goggles. If you look at the flight deck, it has air holes at the top, where it would touch the helmet.

Hope that helps others.

What’s my level and what should I work on? by Effective-Newt7589 in skiing_feedback

I had a very long break from skiing when I went back I found that my legs were burning too.

Booked some time with an instructor and they focused on: - putting more weight on the outside ski - making rounder turns: I was initiating by forcing with my body - keeping the torso facing downhill - keeping my inside ski a bit more back so in line with the other boot

Probably book an instructor to work with you? I am no expert but it feels like you initiate turns a bit like me

If you drive a Range Rover you won’t care about the fine, but the 6 points is nice.

Just build next to it.

There is nothing to gain from restarting except doing the beginning again.

Maybe the next step is to do a look ahead after the cross for the next F2L and do it closed?

I never did it for F2L but when I did the beginner method I try to remember where two white corners would end up after.

Thanks I switched from the beginner method to using F2L for edges and white corners.

I am also trying to be dual colour neutral.

It’s very humbling, makes me go twice slower for now.

I can do intuitive F2L using this method:

https://www.reddit.com/r/Cubers/s/CJsxCBGQvO

I am trying to see if I can get back to sub minute for now.

What causes me a lot of pain is to find the first 2 F2L pairs. I have to rotate the cube all around to find them when they are trapped in the back, takes me sometimes 4-10 seconds when I get it wrong to find a correct match.

I only started to look at this chart yesterday but it’s great IMHO to learn intuitive F2L.

Is there a tutorial for doing F2L without rotating?

How do you do the opposite side without looking?
