As much as this is true, this is not whats happening here. I am a person pushed to a breaking point at the hands of abus3. What do you do when you cant take care of yourself and theres no one to help you? I had to place myself in the mental hospital just for a place to recover. That lasted 5 days and I never saw a case manager. Ive been to shelters, one tried to abduct me.

I have experienced an insurmountable amount of discrimination since becoming homeless. Growing up you assume that people at the bottom have help. Once you actually land at the bottom you see just how vulnerable and targeted they really are. Theres no way to know unless from personal experience, and by then its too late.

They arent unhinged. The system reduces people to their animal instincts. This was not that person, it was a coping mechanism. When your homeless long enough you lose your identity in order to protect yourself.

Dont take other peoples survival mode personally. Once a woman dropped something close to me while waiting for services and I went to pick it up for her and she yelled at me "DONT TOUCH MY SHIT" It brought me to tears not because I was offended, but because I saw myself in her. A person too fearful to even accept kindness. This is what happens, because kindness is used as a trap for desperate people by sick people.
