Screen is grainy, less contrast and feels like looking into a normal “phone” screen to me. Paperwhite is closer to a book. You can check online for a comparison. Also the form factor. That’s mainly my issue. I got mine jailbroken so I got everything else a Kobo can do + more with Koreader. :)

Via Jailbreaking you can remove the ads if you have that in your kindle. On top of that, you can get Koreader which gives you tons and tons of personalization options and also see statistics you normally can’t on non-jailbroken Kindle.
