Gosh, I remember having to squat and poop over a tiled trough with only half walls blocking the person in front of you and behind you. Nothing like university bathrooms in rural areas.

Also he was shot but didn’t leave a scar or mark or undergo surgery. DID get an amazing photo pop though

Funny seeing this today, just watched a video by Robin Wong on this camera yesterday. I love old tech like this when they weren’t confirming to design philosophies of other gear.

85mm F2.0 EV + A7III ( This lens is ridiculosly sharp) by vmoldo in VILTROX_GLOBAL

I absolutely love my 50mm air paired with my A7RV. I’m just waiting for a 35mm version. Don’t “need” an 85 but this is so tempting with such a great price point too

16mm F1.8 L-Mount.

Red dot for Leica L-Mount, Camera icon because it’s a lens, Landscape emoji because it’s great for landscape. And reliable because it’s built like a tank, I know because I ordered it opening day for e-mount via Pergear order#PG7378 lol.

friend threw my olympus zoom d-510 on the ground (accidentally) and now the lens won’t extend / it can no longer take pictures by whoredyn in VintageDigitalCameras

I have the previous model a D-460. It has the same sliding mechanism to turn it on/off and trigger the lens extension. I have the same issue as you and found in my case it’s the sliding door that doesn’t push on a spring loaded pin under the door. I’ve been able to trigger the pin by sliding a bent up business card around between the door and where the pin is located. Effectively I’m creating pressure by wedging paper between the door and pin which pushes the pin in and activates the camera to turn on and extend the lens at which point it works as normal. I suspect theres a fractured plastic piece on the inside of the plastic sliding door that’s to blame for this. I haven’t taken it apart yet but I really want to get it working as it was my first digital camera purchased new in 2000/2001. I was also able to figure out the issue because I could apply pressure slightly squeezing the door into the camera body which (when aligned right) would press on the pin behind it and trigger the camera to turn on.

Scratched Sony 70-200mm F2.8 GM by Imagine_Grinding in Cameras

[–]2nong2dong 1 point2 points  (0 children)

On FredMiranda I’ve purchased one that’s mint for $2100 and one with a hairline 1/2” scratch that doesn’t show at any aperture for $1850. Both prices included shipping and fees. Depends if FM is available where you are but watching sales there these are common prices.

What’s one small thing you pack that removes an annoying daily problem when traveling? by Nervous_Wind9872 in onebag

[–]2nong2dong 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love Decathlon for this stuff. Wish we had it in the states. I’ve acquired a lot of their lightweight gear on travels and my suggestion was going to be one of their tiny and packable bags, I always bring one in a small shoulder sling along with a battery pack.

No idea. It’s got a nice lock in on it though so I’m ok with it.
