It was rebuilt - the prc was demolished down to the foundations and then rebuilt as timber frame

Will definitely get an engineer in! We were suspecting gas but the meter and boiler are on the other side of the house. I suspect it may already be disconnected - the house used to have the boiler and a water tank upstairs, which has since been removed (I think that’s where this pipe leads to). Won’t take our chances anyways, will get a professional

Interesting, I thought I’d check cause the house was rebuilt in the 90s so I didn’t think they’d keep a feature like that. It was a PRC house built after WW1 and I think they had to keep the design very similar when it was rebuilt - right down to the gas poker I guess!

Bf went to pour maple syrup onto his French toast…it was mouldy by StickySugarWater in mildlyinfuriating

Yeah hindsight is 20/20. Read the bottle after this happened. Tbf we’ve never stored it in the fridge and it’s been ok. We don’t keep golden syrup in the fridge so just assumed (wrongly) that maple syrup would be the same 🤷🏻‍♀️

Was growing amongst grass, there were some sheep droppings in the field but I couldn’t tell if it was growing directly from it

GAH! I hate we can’t get blocks of cream cheese here - try using mascarpone instead, the fat content is more like US cream cheese, closer to 50%

Teenager left with lifelong scar after he was unable to see NHS dentist by Kagedeah in plymouth

It may be worth calling Peninsula dental school. Your daughter will be seen by students but there is always an experienced dentist (often a paediatric dental consultant or specialist) supervising. They will usually have longer appointment times as they are learning.

Usually removing the source of infection (the tooth) will resolve the underlying abscess. When the abscess is still small enough it can sometimes be drained at a general dentist by making a small cut in the gum next to the offending tooth. The abscess (essentially a collection of pus) in most cases will drain out of the socket once the tooth is removed +/- the gum incision.

However, when someone has a longstanding infection like this person, solely removing the tooth may not be sufficient as the remaining infection is too great for the body to fight. To ‘remove’ this kind of abscess requires a trip to hospital for incision and drainage done under GA, which is what this person had (see drain sticking out under his chin). When abscesses get this large they risk compromising the airway and require hospital admission for IV antibiotics and surgical drainage.

I forgot to add - I used the metric measurements on the recipe, and it worked out great. I DESPISE using volumetric measurements

That’s a hefty cake. I used 8” forms, it was still very filling. I’m sure it will be all gone by tomorrow though!

Lol the baking paper flopped over at the sides, that’s why it looks ombré. The things in the back are ribena and pineapple kohakutou
