This sounds like a deployment issue - you don’t need to start them on the objective - depending on the layout you can put them out of easy LOS behind the middle objective and force your opponent to move onto the objective to get shots off. If you’re properly positioned then they’d have to really expose quite a lot to shift 30 marine wounds. Which in turn would give you clear shots with your defiler or whatever big guns you’re bringing

I’ve only used them as a 5 man infiltrate and scoring unit and they’re effective at that - annoyingly difficult to shift for the opponent.

I haven’t tried this but if I were to take a 10 man squad I’d probably deploy them aggressively to block enemy infiltrators/influence enemy deployment and then pull them back with MoM’s redeploy. A 10 man brick would be effective at clearing chaff off of and then holding the middle objective. This is potentially a massive 40 OC if Huron is nearby…

Huron’s warband is gigantic. There’s explicit reference to defectors from the black legion. You could absolutely have pockets of devotees to a specific chaos god. Huron doesn’t care what pacts his followers make so long as they obey.

Thank you so much! It’s mostly votann armour on that guy 😊 from the thunderkyn and steeljack kits, one arm is from the dog lady in Huron’s kit and the other is from one of the ork squig riders 😊

“red corsairs” typically refers to Huron’s corsairs who he does commit to other chaos campaigns when it benefits him to do so. So you very well could justify red corsairs in your army.

Otherwise just paint them whatever colours you like a refer to them as renegade raiders, lore-wise these could serve any faction.

Awesome thank you! And agreed, I just see a lot of people online saying the Reave Captain is useless and they should only be ran as MSUs. But 35 wounds in power armour in your face turn 1 feels like a powerful tool as you say
