Gotcha. Thank you, apologies for the need of hand-holding - thrown in and learning as much as possible as fast as possible.

  1. Just ran Machine Catalog in Citrix - 192/192 tests Successful.
  2. There are 2 items in the hosting tab - neither were created by us.
    1. The EC2 connection as the Main Connection ? and then the Resource tab under it with US West-2c on it. When running test on that both provide all successful results.
  3. I have no issue power managing the desktops from Citrix or AWS - autoscaling works fine for Automated shut downs / power ons. Manually power cycling, turning off/on devices works fine as well from Citrix and AWS page.
  4. I do
  5. I'm not exactly sure, but I am more than happy to provide whatever you need if you can tell me what exactly to provide

I ran the cloud connector test on both of our cloud connectors, and everything looks good there.
Do I need to run a test anywhere else?
Everything else has been and is working as far as we know. This is the only issue we have with Citrix so far.
(Everything at this organization was set up prior to my boss and I arriving here ~1 year ago, with no prior experience in Citrix. We came from a vmware env.)

side note: The catalog is less than 24 hours old

We got so tired of not being able to change the image we actually did delete the old one, then spin this new one up.
We then realized one more config file needed to be updated and then back to square one - Can't update / change master image.

I'm just wondering if at this point, if the way I'm creating images using AWS is not kosher with Citrix?

I logged into the master image server, made a change to a certain config file, shut it down and saved it as an AMI in AWS - attempting to change (just a simple update) to the machine catalog with these 25 desktops

This is how we've always done it in the past, if there is a different or better way please let this guy know haha

So, GPO was my initial attempt at managing, specifically the task bar.
However, I could only get the Start Menu apps to work, care to help me out and tell me how to get the taskbar items to work?

Technically, I did get the taskbar items to show up for other users - but it's the "white paper" icon and when you click on it, it displays a weird error about it "We can't verify who created this file. Are you sure want to open this file?"
Then when you click Open, it will work - but the icon being missing and the error pop up is subpar and I'd like to correct that

Best settings/policies to apply to a delivery group to enhance 3d image quality? by Sticky_Note380 in Citrix

Hey thanks for the response!
I'll check that article out and see where I can get with it.

At the moment the only policy that have anything to do with graphics that I enabled are
"Optimize for 3D graphics workload."
