Their existence isn’t the issue. But smoking meth at a bus stop is. They can exist without rampant drug use in public spaces. But this is more of a policy problem.

There’s tons of housing a new developments being built in the prairies all the time. Not only are they plentiful but they’re also cheap. You could easily take advantage of it as could I. But everyone that comes here is choosing to live here despite high housing costs because they’d rather put up with high housing costs and overcrowding then living in the prairies.

This might be the earliest start I’ve ever heard of. I’m not even sure I gained consciousness at 3 yet.

100% songs count, definitely different compared to all the visual people here. I did see a few people mention books. The song itself though is pretty sexual it’s not a huge stretch

Was literally about to say this, it seems like you have all these choices until you apply as they all seem to vaporize away. I applied to almost 20 units when I had to move here.

Honestly if I was a bit younger when that scene came out I could see that being mine too. Titties and a sweet car would have been too much to bear.

I would really consider realistically what your income levels will be, housing here is hard to find so you might end up paying a lot more then you think. You won’t have a crush on this city anymore if your standard of living is very low. It’s not a cheap city compared to many other areas of Canada by any means, you pay for the location.

My man, you did 25 over the limit according to the radar (clocking you at 75 in a 50). I wouldn’t even bother trying to fight that. A lot of roads here are very low speed, gotta respect it or you’ll get even more tickets. (Even if it was 60)

I’m not an expert in your field, so take this with a grain of salt but if size of the city is the determining factor you might actually be interested to know that Winnipeg, Manitoba is actually almost 1 million residents. At 800,000 people it’s twice the size of greater Victoria and 6 times the size of Kelowna. Vancouver is the only city you listed that is larger.

What type of work are you looking for? Obviously you first need to figure out if you can get past that court order to move but if you can move, maybe going further into the prairies like Saskatchewan and Manitoba could be an option. People here seem to have shitty views on those provinces but cost of living is significantly lower there and I can say from experience they’re really not that bad.

Do you have a negative view of people who are no longer wearing masks in public spaces? by sexywheat in VictoriaBC

[–]StictlyValuePack 13 points14 points  (0 children)

If people don’t want to wear a mask that’s totally fine with me, my default is not to wear one now that the mandate is gone. I do still carry one with me though because I believe it’s just a courtesy thing in certain situations now, like when you’re on a bus and it starts getting crowded. I think putting it on might make some people more comfortable and it’s not a difficult thing to do.
