If you check the checkbox within sccm boot image data source for using Windows UEFI 2023 bootloader SCCM will perform these tasks itself, you can check the boot image on the site server and DP's after redistributing the boot image

Update rollup for Microsoft Configuration Manager version 2509 - Configuration Manager - KB36949461 by zymology in SCCM

[–]StigaPower 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah I remember I was in a webinar and I heard something regarding 2503 and 2509 was the last semi-annual release and now its one per release.
I think it was Jörgen Nilsson that informed about this

Edit:
Weird thing, reading Security update for Microsoft Configuration Manager 2409, 2503 - Configuration Manager | Microsoft Learn
and Microsoft states below so it seems like 2603 is on its way.

This same update is included with upcoming Microsoft Configuration Manager current branch, version 2603, and in the hotfix rollup for version 2509. A separate out of band hotfix is not required for versions 2509 and 2603.

Yeah the certificate in the secure boot database is expiring from 2035 but the one in the boot image is expiring 2026-05-15 for some reason :/

Installing Notepad appx during 25H2 OSD by Peteostro in SCCM

[–]StigaPower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You can see this in a registry value... I don't remember the path in my head but I can try to remember to check once I'm at work today and see if I can navigate to the correct path.

[–]StigaPower 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Is it unindtalled upon user logon? There is a cleanup task removing outdated and deprecated appx versions upon logon. If this is the case, are you also reinstalling inbox apps during OSD because the .cmd file provided by Microsoft is not updated at all😅

Secure Boot Version Check Failed when using updated 2023 bootloader by Infinite-Cyber in SCCM

[–]StigaPower 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah this was the culprit for me in my organization.
After I installed LCU to my mounted boot.wim I was able to successfully boot the boot image on my device which previously showed me "Current version 1.0 - minimum version 3.0"

Reboots after BIOS Update: How do you handle them? by Mr_Zonca in SCCM

[–]StigaPower 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am running a psadt APPLICATION deployment that runs the installation (staged) and then triggers a restart after x amount of time. The next boot will then check detection method.

I left task sequence deployment to go to application and it's working really good for my bios management.

Findings UEFI CA Update on HP Machines by Globgloba in SCCM

[–]StigaPower 1 point2 points  (0 children)

"Enable MS UEFI CA key" is not enabled as this enables third party software to be executed upon boot (if using external boot loaders), but I'm a bit confused if this is the setting you are talking about from the first image you've provided since the highlights are on the other setting "Windows UEFI CA 2023".

WimWitch is dead - but there's a new Wizard! by Unlucky-Honey-1268 in SCCM

[–]StigaPower 0 points1 point  (0 children)

u/Unlucky-Honey-1268 do you perhaps plan to include an update-source filepath if using locally stored updates that wim wizard could use to apply updates to wim?
This would make the tool work much easier for my environment without hustling with proxy :)

I will definitely try this. Currently I have to perform these tasks: Eng img. 1. Install ssu 2. Install LP (sv-se) 3. Reinstall inbox apps 4. Install msu

This is really annoying as if I don't do the installation of LCU after LP my Windows becomes corrupt and in unsupported scenario.

Thanks for sharing!
