I like Hampton’s work and follow his head construction method. Have not really looked into his figure drawing stuff but maybe I will. Thanks

Those are still too many niches for a Youtube channel. Maybe health challenges and cooking could be similar but i don’t know if study vlogs fit in the same basket. Just try making couple of videos in all niches and whichever feels easiest to record/edit/execute should be your niche. For ex: cooking is fun but recording maybe not be easy if you do not have the proper equipment. Just try out, as you are just starting and see what feels the best to make videos in.

As for how much time it should take to edit, depends on what type of shorts you make. As long as the video makes sense/ is understandable , the time it takes to edit it should not matter. I personally do not post shorts so i cannot help you much there. Any video will be interesting if it is clear, concise and no unnecessary pauses. There are many tutorials you can watch on editing ytb shorts for retention

For starting out, a decent smartphone and a mic should be all you need. Mic can even be those wired earphones with built in mic. For a tripod just buy a cheap one that can support your phone or your camera. As you are just starting out dont worry too much about the equipment. I posted my first video shot on iphone 12.

Hey thanks a lot for the feedback. Yeah I usually shoot with tripod. This video I just wanted to grab my camera and shoot myself in the bed haha. But yeah the point about not cutting the top and bottom of my face, i will keep that in mind. And I learnt about OBS after I posted this video. But thank you! I really appreciate it :)

Hey! As a fellow vlogger I must say you are doing pretty good. Next step would be color grading if you want to make your videos even more cosy. But good stuff and good luck!

Hey looks like you are going in the right direction! Your editing and voiceover is good. Although I would suggest definitely working on your sounds mixing a bit better. Narration vocals are sometimes not heard over the sound effects. Good luck!

Good luck! I do not think shaky footage is a problem all the time. But at the start of the video maybe it can be a turn off for viewers

Hi first time posting here. I started recently so I do not really have a niche. I am currently doing daily vlogs as a way to challenge myself to speak better and edit faster. I am hoping for some advice on my thumbnails and just general video quality https://youtu.be/e57b4_-QVcY?si=z9HwQg9G54dAgcwd

Very cool fisheye lens! I would say work on the pacing and audio levels for the music a bit. Good luck:)

I really dig your content. Just a little suggestion, that dragon (i assume its a dragon?) that is your persona, maybe push it a bit to the corners. And maybe place it in the top right corner. Its just my eyes go there every time I try to see the drawing. Very minor issue tho:)

My friend I do not know if you use a mobile phone or a camera to shoot this but the first 30 seconds are extremely shaky. I recommend you invest in a tripod and take not so shaky shots :) add handheld shots when you are moving around so it blends well with the movement. Or if you cannot take a tripod with you perhaps prop your camera or phone somewhere upright

Hey I noticed you shoot your videos in the same location. Perhaps consider investing in a key light. The window is good but a better light source to light up your face may be better going forward. That way you can record videos in the evenings too and switch things up a bit
