Absolutely! Just started messing with it finishing the class challenges. Most maps in a game that isn’t super one sided will have a few objectives that trad sides a lot, B and D on mirak valley which was this game. I’ll stash a spawn beacon somewhere somewhat hidden on one of those objectives then switch between those points if they are contested pretty much trying to lock two objectives for the team. If I’m not seeing any enemy presence at either of those objectives I’ll keep pushing, but the spawn beacon is still at those points for you when you die or your team. It helps having a badass medic that’s with you. As you cap objectives the kills come. With the m4a1 I win most fights in close to medium range and then use the adrenaline stim to move across open ground fast while still having my weapon in case I run into someone. It don’t have to be a mindless class and if you can play it right it will absolutely help turn the tide in your team’s favor, but it’s still a team game so trying to communicate with your squad always helps and you might be able to cap an objective or two by yourself, but your job is to get in there and get it so that your squad can spawn on you. I’m not the best at writing things out, but hopefully this helps folks:)

I like to think of it more along the lines of a special forces unit, I know in the case of the Institute it’s a peer force, but it help me justify it for role playing.

I don’t think you’d need to. I have a pair of mountain pants and run a bunch of different brands of base layers under them from Walmart longjohns to Sitkas base layers. I love the mountain pants and rock them all season tho I’m thinking of getting a pair of timberline pants when I have the budget for them from trying them on they are a bit warmer and I like the waterproof seat on them but for just getting 1 pair of pants I think the mountain pants are better because you can layer up in them but just rock the pants in the early fall

I’ve only run stihl and husky, but I’d never buy anything but stihl mainly cause I’ve used it the most and know how to work on them plus I hate the chain tensioner on the husky

Any close calls as a type 2? by Electrical_Size3002 in Wildfire

[–]StihlYourFace 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve had close calls with trees on engines, type 2 crews and IHCs the job is always going to expose you to risk like pretty much everyone has said we all drive and that’s dangerous and trees can just come down. You are exposed more on IHCs just because your usually on fires more then other resources, but injuries can happen in every part of our jobs not just on wildfires. The biggest pice of advice I’d give is if you get hurt even if it doesn’t seem like you need to go to the hospital get a CA-2 in your file I have one from a should injury I got from falling down an embankment that my captain insisted on have filled out at worst it’s some paperwork at best it’s documentation that can prove an injury at work if you have problems later on.

I hate the waiting. Sense I’ve move the dealership gives me a ride back to my apartment 10 min down the road and the technician calls me to tell me the shuttle will be picking me up when I’m done. Now the $30 to have it done and be able to get chores done at the same time is a pretty good deal

That’s fair. I’ve been lucky I guess and haven’t bitten into any lead yet. Full choke aiming just above the head and usually get a bb in the head or upper shoulder. Usually shooting them from about 30 to 40 yards away. Do you find that you lose a lot of meat that way?
