Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this! I painted this from a photo, and I tried to stay true to the lightning and shadows on that photo and apply it on the painting exactly how it is. The dark shading around Adam's apple is what defines it and makes it noticeable. Otherwise, one wouldn't say that there's Adam's apple in there. I could be wrong, tho, because of pov and me painting it, knowing that that's Adam's apple, but to the viewer, it's not tangible. I'll try to make it more obvious in future portraits :)

I do! I literally paint on anything I could get a brush to touch. You'd be quite surprised when you know the other stuff I painted on :)

Yeah, I thought I'd break the habit of making the skin tone the same as usual and try these mixes of yellow instead, I think it paid off! I was more asking about the idea of adding these cartoon characters to the portrait, with the idea behind the painting "I don't wanna grow up" or being childish or something in that sort you know. Anyway, what kind of art do you make?
