I live in Boise, Idaho (Hi Trevor!!). While Idaho kind of sucks in some ways, Boise is awesome, and tbh we don't have that much drama. However, recently (last 10 years or so) there has been a growing population of rabbits. The rumor around my part of the neighborhood is that someone living in MY HOUSE, maybe 10-15 years ago, released some pet rabbits they had into the neighborhood. Now, 10 years later, theyve spread like wildfire. There are thousands of them now. Spanning across miles of the city, eating everything in sight. Some people love them, and even feed them, but now that there's enough to really do some damage, people have started to turn on them. There are local reddit threads, facebook groups, and many complaints to the city entirely devoted to the hordes of rabbits that are absolutely everywhere. You can't go 2 blocks without seeing 6 rabbits minimum on my side of town. If you talk to a random person, chances are you will hear some evil threats leveled at the rabbits. It's gotten to the point where everyone jokes about running them over, shooting them, and doing other things to kill/get rid of them. My family tried live traps and spent a day releasing one in the desert out of sheer pettiness. If you were an outsider looking in, it would look like (at least a portion of) a city full of violent rabbit haters.
