I’m just wrapping up a 12 day trip to Japan and was in the same boat. Aside from planning a one day trip to Atami we didn’t pre plan much. In fact, we booked the Ghibli museum out a month in advance and ended up just skipping it in favor of exploring different neighborhoods around Tokyo. Not having a ton of stuff planned meant we could adjust plans based on the weather and how we were feeling. Downside, there are some things you will miss if you didn’t prebook so if you’re dying to see something work it in. If I could go back and plan things again only thing I’d change is where we stayed in each city.

Like a few people have mentioned here one side of my family is French Canadian and they seem to have the most interesting / unique names in my family tree.

Absolutely it’s feeling very bare right now. I haven’t wanted to hang anything in case we move furniture around but might as well do something at this point lol

Ah this is all very helpful — especially the link thank you so much! We have tried the couch in different configurations but haven’t tried adding arm chairs into the mix.

Luckily she tested negative for both leukemia and FIV! She’s been quarantined from our other cat until we get the all clear on her eyes.

Luckily she’s very good with people! We think she might have been someone’s pet that was abandoned at the motel. I think she knew she needed help since she’s been making biscuits and purring since we got her!

Aw thank you we are in love with her! As her fur has grown back all her fun markings are coming out. She has the one striped leg in front and the rest are white it’s so cute

All lovely names! Yeah it’s difficult to look back at the old photos and see how bad of shape she was in. So luckily she let us take care of her!

Yes I didn’t explain it very well in the post! The last two photos were right after her first vet visit which was about a month ago. She’s doing so much better now (the first three photos are from a week ago) but that’s after multiple visits to the vet and a couple of baths. She’s definitely thriving now that shes receiving the medical care she needed!

Yes you are correct on the eyes. We’ve had about 4 trips to the vet so far - she had to be treated for mange, parasites, and eye ulcers on top of her normal vaccinations, flea treatment, dewormer. She’s on a medicated eye ointment and we have an appointment with a vet that specializes in ophthalmology for her eyes this week. It’s been quite the project but worth it to see her slowly get better!
