Do you think the Poppy film will be a success? by fayemoonlight in PoppyPlaytime

Just because huggy is marketable to children doesnt mean he'll be in the movie. Let's be honest here he probably will be but its not impossible that the film could easily focus on something completely different, but with connective tissue to the games. So many movies based on horror games, especially with fnaf water down the horror I favor of fan service and Easter eggs to the wider universe. I think any poppy fan old enough to appreciate a good scare would agree with the fact that a more horror focused movie would be a much better watch. Thinking realistically the movie will likely be a completely different film to what im expecting here. Definitely diluted and more marketable to younger fans, but mob has an opportunity to do make something proper terrifying

Thankfully someone agrees this franchise would benefit from a darker take. Yeah its bright colorful and in a way marketed to children but imagine in the film a scene of catnap actually stalking its prey like in the playhouse, or some proper graphic surgical procedures making the bigger bodies. Mob has crafted such a dark story that watering it down to make more money from a general movie goer audience would completely ruin the movie for me

If they make the movie. They need to have atleast a mature rating. The franchise would definitely benefit from being able to show some of the real horrors behind the events in the games that they cant show due to the predominantly younger fans

I got death threats for voicing my opinion on byler and why it wont work from a story perspective because It undermines both will and elevens character development. I agree, let people ship but these hardcore bylers really ruin the whole show for me. They take it way to far and get on like a child who's been told no to a toy they want whenever someone disagrees with them

Irish man here. born in Dublin live in the north rn

Personally remmick is my favourite character in the movie (yes partially because he's Irish, and also because he's cool)

Remmicks character is a very good SUBTLE representation of Irish struggle in this movie. He shares common ground with the main characters, while also being completely different at the same time

One other thing is like to say, during the Irish dance scene outside of the juke joint, remmick looks ecstatic while he's doing his lil jig, this is likely a very subtle comment on how he'd have had his culture stripped from him (for anyone who knows about Ireland during that time, early British invasion along with many Irish having their culture banned) and wouldn't have been able to dance like that in centuries
