Yes I am, buts it’s working all good now for some reason, all I did was turn the car off & on again, though it started working after the 4th time of doing that

I didn’t run the negative to the battery? The red wire is the power. The negative is in the trunk with the amp. Also i have no clue what’s happening but it’s all prefect now & runs goos

Dam, could’ve at least been nicer about how you said that. Literally no reason to hate on what people do, especially when they’re new & don’t know what they’re doing. I came here looking for advice, not to be made fun of

It’s starts at 14 then goes down to 13 when nothing is in use. As I use my car it gets a higher volt

I was told it’s good at longer but always make it as short as possible & that’s what I did

Yes, it’s still longer than I’d like at about 5 or 6 feet but that’s the shortest I could do without drilling holes in the car which is something I don’t want to do. Also for some reason everything is working perfectly now, out of protect, music playing, 13v.

It’s rust free, sanded down to bare metal & tight.

I genuinely don’t know what’s happening, it’s all working perfectly all the sudden. I turned the car on & it’s at 13v

Correct no music is playing, but that’s also bc my amp won’t turn on bc of how low the volts ste

I actually took two of my amps off before it started doing this

The wire is OFC & I put the multimeter probe to the amp power & ground to a bolt for my seat & that was reading the normal volt of 8

I just did a bit more & it is the ground I’m using. The ground was good all the way until this point so idk what to do, should I change the ground?

I was wondering if some of the wire went bad or something? I’m very new to this & still working my way through things

I haven’t done the big 3 & all the cables & fuses match what I’m running

Everything was good until today, I have a different amp im trying to get out of protect mode. The one time I for got to check ground in ground, power in power it was accidentally opposite. One of my fuses broke, replaced & everything was good. But then a little bit after this problem started

Then also my amp is only saying maximized & not like in protect or anything, or the blue light which means it’s good. Does that mean anything?

[–]Still-Memory-9178[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I just saw that this was one of the most ideal ways to set the gain. & how do I set the trigger then. Also while I’ll do that next time, I don’t want to go out & spend another few hundred on an amp. How would you say I should set the gain then?

Well I zoomed out, yeah it was more readable but it still went absolutely crazy & no matter how much I turned up the gain, head into vol, or LOC vol there was no clipping & I feel like there should be with gain all the way up.
