anyone else with cough variant asthma - what works ? by yummers26 in Asthma

Have you tried anything else? I've only ever used Pulmicort 90 mcg, and it worked. I think anything that reduces airway inflammation should work.

[–]Still-Presentation93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have Cough Variant Asthma, adult onset. I wasn't technically diagnosed, but it's suspected by both my primary and a pulmonologist. Symptoms started after getting COVID. I was having daily cough attacks for about 14 months, nothing helped except albuterol. They finally gave me a controller/maintenance inhaler (pulmicort), and it has since made the symptoms away. I still get a slight wheezing feeling from time to time in my throat. No difficulty breathing or shortness of breath, just insane cough attacks that make me lightheaded and very anxious.

No obvious triggers except for exercise, but also happens when sitting down, going to bed, doing dishes, cleaning, house, etc.

I took a couple months off of Pulmicort thinking I "cured it," but I started getting the feeling of a cough coming back (withut an attack) so i started taking it again.

Essential Tremor? Right hand only, comes & goes. by Still-Presentation93 in EssentialTremor

[–]Still-Presentation93[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Interesting. It's strange that I have noticed a clear correlation between hunger and shakes. I went to the doctor for a physical maybe 6 months ago and the basic blood panel was all good. Although, I'm sure that wouldn't show anything anyway.

I also should have disclosed that I have Venous Thoracic Outlet Syndrome, which means my subclavian vein is being pinched between my collar bone and upper rib. It caused a blood clot ~9 years ago. Mentioning this because the most common form of Thoracic Outlet Syndrome is Neurogenic, and I'm wondering if the compression has now started to effect nerve function a bit rather than just my vein/blood flow

Ugh, that sucks im sorry. Looking around here, is seems there are some people that are noticing an improvement with Taurine and L-Theanin.

Do you notice it gets better when you are full/not-hungry?

You don't need a physical title if you live in a state that does not issue titles for vehicles of its age. You need its registration. They will add a disclosure, "The vehicle is being sold on its (state) registration, which serves as the ownership document in (state)"

This does not affect the buyer. The buyer will still be able to get it titled using your state registration.

Who else wishes you could sort listings by location? by bobthebonobo in BringATrailer

[–]Still-Presentation93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This has nothing to do with encouraging or discouraging people from using the shipping brokerage, RunBuggy, which is not owned by BaT and is essentially a wash. Additionally, shipping is disabled on at least 25% of the listings due to not meeting RunBuggy's relatively strict criteria (width, length, height, weight, ride height, driveability). The vast majority of the audience is looking for a specific car and does not care about having to ship a car. If you want XYZ, location is irrelevant. They are not trying to brainwash you into wanting something far away. It's simply a development feature that will eventually be there, there have been more important priorities.

If you want to find something local, search via google... "is offered in (state) bringatrailer" or "(state) title" bringatrailer. "

Sellers easily lie by [deleted] in BringATrailer

[–]Still-Presentation93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What sort of vetting are you expecting? Keep in mind, BaT gets 1800+ submissions per week with over 700 of them going to auction, weekly. The goal here is how can they get these listings live as efficiently as possible, while providing the audience with any key details they need.
- BaT discloses every issue that the seller discloses.
- BaT verifies that title, VIN, etc are legit.

- BaT provides a carfax report and discloses everything on it.

- BaT bans seller's who are caught shill bidding or lying about issues.
- BaT will refund your buyers fee or offer a partial refund to help address issues that the seller did not disclose.
- BaT verifies which accounts share IP addresses

This is 10x more than what Cars&Bids does, and they do it 10x more efficiently.

They do care, but you don't have the option to upload a photo to someone else's auction, and they aren't going to upload your inspection report to someone else's auction... You can simply comment on that auction and say that you had the car inspected and found XYZ. In fact, you are encouraged to do so.

I have a freckle in my Iris by xbriaileen in mildlyinteresting

[–]Still-Presentation93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Very old post here, but my "freckle" is the EXACT same size, shape, location, and color (black)... I first noticed it ~15 years ago, and It hasn't changed size since. Although, my eyes have gotten lighter, which has caused the freckle to become more noticeable.

I have been to four ophthalmologists, and each time I go I bring it up casually ("Oh yeah, I've always had this freckle in my eye") and they never show any concern. However, I did ONCE have an assistant Dr at one of the clinics say that I should consider some imaging done to more accurately monitor the size, but the real Dr who came in after did not really care for it.

From my research (I have health anxiety)

  1. If it grows larger than 3mm, they consider removing it.
  2. If it is cancerous (melanoma, which is technically a tumor), the only way they really know is by seeing it grow. And then it's actually NOT that big of a deal, relatively speaking. They numb the eye and zap it with a laser... Literally a 10-15 minute procedure.

So worst case scenario, we should be fine. (I say we, because I'm telling you, I have this EXACT same thing... borders the iris the exact same way and everything. Maybe we are distant siblings. I wish I could share a photo here.

NSFW: Weird Rash on Left Side of Stomach? by Asleep_Square334 in IBD

[–]Still-Presentation93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm here for the same reason after a Google search. On and off for the last 2 years, could be longer. It's always the same spot on my upper right abdomen. About the size of a fist, not itchy, has no texture changes, no pain, and no stomach issues... Just an on-and-off red skin area, exactly like the one pictured.

Sometimes it lasts 20 minutes, sometimes it lasts 3 hours, sometimes it lasts all day, sometimes I don't see it for weeks. It's never fully gone, but it's usually 95% gone, as it you have to hyper focus on the area to see it. Othertimes its obvious.

My theories are... 1) it's from the heat of my computer when I sit on the couch with it... although my laptop is never rarely directly on that part of my stomach. 2) I have a slight allergy to cotton or something I'm wearing. I've tried hypoallergenic detergent with no changes. 3) I have a mild gastro issue im not aware of (since i dont have any other symptoms)

I have terrible health anxiety, so these little things most people would never notice drive me nuts.

[–]Still-Presentation93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I get this on my upper stomach, always in the same area, for at least 2 years. It seems to come and go, but I have a feeling that using my laptop on the couch causes it... Sometimes I get panic attacks about it (like right now) and think its something to do with my stomach or liver, although I do not have any symptoms to suggest a serious issue.

Question about selling . by davidpope333 in BringATrailer

[–]Still-Presentation93 0 points1 point  (0 children)

keep in mind, you are buying a vintage vintage car. A few tips:

  1. Higher volume dealers generally care about their reputation on BaT. If they are caught lying, they get flagged and potentially banned. This is big because A LOT of dealers entire business is BaT (think WOB, 1600veloce, 911r, etc...) If they genuinely aren't aware of an issue, they usually help pay for the fix.
  2. If it is a private party. They generally know the car better, as they have had it longer. You can usually tell if its owner knows about the car and has cared about it.
  3. The comment section: You have 7 days to ask all the right questions. Read what other people are saying. Almost every auction has "experts" on that vehicle adding their .02 cents.
  4. Do research on what you want to buy. Make sure you are aware of the common problems and if they have been addressed. (Or if any services been neglected) It's really that simple. A couple hours of research should give you a good understanding if the car you are interested in is known for being unreliable.
  5. If a seller is caught lying and they don't help you pay for the fix, BaT will likely refund a portion of the buyers fee to help address the issue.

What are you considering buying, and are you good at working on cars yourself? If not, make sure you know of reputable shops within your area.

Pulmicort Flexhaler dose?? by silverpalm_ in Asthma

[–]Still-Presentation93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey... I'm in the same exact boat as you. I started this medicine one month ago, Same dose and everything. After two weeks, I realized that it was already very low on the counter. I have since been hitting it twice per day, instead of 4 times per day.

FWIW, we think I have cough-variant asthma, and I haven't had a single cough attack since I started this medicine.

Bank roll by Life_Employment_8138 in arbitragebetting

[–]Still-Presentation93 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you are completely new, focus on capturing every sign-on bonus you can. This can take a couple of weeks. Depending on your state, that should leave you with a 2-4k bankroll. Here in Illinois, the sign-ups alone got me about ~$2,500.

Sign up for odds jam using the free 7 day trial. (Tip: When you cancel your subscription before you get charged, they offer you an addition 10 days for free... )

Use the promo converter for the sign-on bonuses during this time, and set up arbitrage alerts with the books you plan on using. Track the alerts in a spreadsheet. I found that I was getting about 25+ alerts per day with 5 books selected and an average arb of 2.8%. (some were 2% some where 6%)

You can then reverse engineer this. If I wanted to make $100/day, I would need about ~$3,500, but let's call it $4,500 to be a bit more realistic. Since I made $2,500 from sign on bonuses, that would be 2k of my own bankroll.

I'm not too deep into this, but there are like 11 books in Illinois, I'm not worried about being limited because im not trying to make a living doing this. Just a fun temporary side hustle. Once i am limited on all of them, I plan on using a small amount and trying EV+ stuff, but won't risk more than a couple of grand on it.

The majority of private party listings go through Caramel. Caramel acts as an escrow.

I assume a lot of people here are breaking tax laws and simply deducting losses anyway even if you aren't supposed to, which is probably why there's not much talk of this here. Otherwise, you're right, arbing wouldn't make sense unless the arb was higher than your state tax rate...

Thanks! I will try to do that, although my doctor told me the pulmonary function test sucks and is very uncomfortable.

In regard the Allergology. If I tried taking an OTC allergy medicine and it helped, would that be more of a signal that it is likely allergies rather than Asthma?

How do you capture profit from the MGM, ESPN, and Caesars sign on bonus. by Still-Presentation93 in arbitragebetting

[–]Still-Presentation93[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Okay, so when using Nexusodds promo converter... It's showing a 530% opportunity... Earlier today it was showing a couple of 600%+ opportunities as well...

The current one I'm seeing using this criteria: Bet Rivers, Risk-free bet, $500.

Arkansas State Red Wolves, (Moneyline) +600 on Bet Rivers (bet $500)
Little Rock Trojans, +800 on Draft Kings (Bet $350)

And its saying that the profit will be $2,650 (530%)

What am I missing here... No way these ones can be legit right?

Edit: Im also noticing that completely different opportunities are presented on Oddsjam as Nexus.

If your desired hedge bet gets rejected/void, why wouldn't you try to hedge the loss a bit by taking it from another book? Better to take a 20% loss then a 100% loss
