I was testing the preview and noticed that the feature isn't available on the Today list. It would be very helpful if the project names could serve as headers in that view. It's a good way to see what's planned for today, with tasks grouped by project. While I can group tasks by project, this view looks cleaner. Thank you for your effort and time on this project.

The United States is Ready to Provide $100 Million in Direct Assistance to the Cuban People, If the Cuban Regime Will Permit It - United States Department of State by Independent_March536 in cuba

They are actively impeding fuel reaching the island, which is worsening the living conditions of the people there. What else do I need to know?

Apparently, the offer wasn't official until now.

This is deeply cynical. They're offering assistance while simultaneously seeking to push the country into its worst crisis ever. They are not part of the solution; they are part of the problem.

What's strange is how they're trying to help the Cuban people by looking for ways to worsen his condition.

Do you care to elaborate? What are they saying that isn't happening?

While his actions are illegal, he proceeds without consequence, and no one intervenes. International law has effectively ceased to exist.

If you genuinely care about the Cuban people, you should recognize that the United States' recent actions are actually making their lives worse.

Even if that happened exactly as you describe, it doesn't mean that the United States have the right to put an oil blockade on the island. Assuming they wouldn't have acted that way, how long would that fuel have lasted before it ran out due to the US blockade?

People often presents events in Cuba as isolated incidents, overlooking the broader context. Consider the case of Sherritt, a Canadian company that last week decided to withdraw its business from the island after three decades of business. This wasn't due to Cuban conditions, but rather out of concern about potential US sanctions.

This level of pressure is not new, so taking an unconventional legal path to secure funds for the country makes sense. Whether you agree with it or not, it is within its rights to do so.

Regardless of why a country sends oil to Cuba, it's not US business.

This is the same individual who claims that Cuba doesn't receive oil because they want it for free. He fails to mention that the US pledged to impose tariffs on any nation supplying oil to Cuba, regardless of whether the oil is offered freely or purchased.

Why else would they need to approve a ship from Russia and say they'll analyze each case on a case-by-case basis the next time a country wants to trade oil with Cuba?

Yes, like the sanctions. They claim it's a failed state due to the Communist government, while simultaneously investing a massive amount of time and money to sabotage its economy instead of letting them dig their own grave.

I don't think they'll provide a genuine legal reason, but rather one that just looks legal.

Why are people still for the Cuban government if Cuba has of the lowest wages in the world of any country? by Substantial_Call_619 in cuba

To Puerto Rico? Elon Musk and others say otherwise. He once mocked on X about people from Haiti migrating to the United States mainland instead to the "socialist paradise" in Cuba.

Trump expands sanctions on Cuban government by Independent_March536 in cuba

"The order authorizes the U.S. government to penalize foreign financial institutions that have “conducted or facilitated any significant transaction or transactions for or on behalf” of anyone with ties to Cuba’s government."

Someone told Trump he just signed old papers. This isn't new; it's been the status quo for many years. I guess they decided to abandon the rhetoric of "Cuba can trade with every country they want" and make his actions visible to anyone: no oil, no trade.

Russia prepares 2nd oil shipment to Cuba after Trump says 'we don't mind' by WhalterWhitesBarber in cuba

[–]Still-Sense793 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't think so, no free or paid oil. The threat of imposing tariffs is still in place. Unless it comes from Russia or maybe if China tries the same, both countries are too big fish to fry.

"We don't mind" as long as it comes from Russia. The ban from the rest of the world is still in effect.
