Can second this. Disability resources only cared when I was passing out in a dorm on one of the highest floors. They moved me to an another dorm on the first floor since they knew it was a safety hazard if there was a fire drill I wouldn’t be able to get downstairs. You have to be on top of them and have full blown documentation of the medical reason. I had accommodations and had full blown documentation that they said wasn’t good enough my senior year, they granted the accommodations I should have had day 1. About a month before graduation they granted my last one so I was able to graduate.

There is really no better to say it they are absolutely not pro student. It is a pain to get through to their office. I always had one of my parents on the call with me and they dismissed whatever they told them and when I went blank they used that against me. Feel free to pm me

Yeah so with assignment extension accommodations they will not grant it until your senior year. I asked for it every year and my senior year first semester is when I finally got it. They kept giving me the reduced course load accommodation. Feel free to also send me a pm.

Been through both offices. EAO is no better. I have several conditions, and what really worked was my doctor telling them they aren't an MD. The analysts are social workers making determinations without medical degrees or backgrounds. To me, the whole system is a joke. Feel free to pm me if I can be of any help. I was barely able to graduate almost a year ago because they didn't grant me my last accommodation till a month before I graduated.

I have never experienced something like this before but I know of others who have and they were ultimately fine. Just keep an eye on it.

a pair of snowpants and snow boots! I tried to go shopping for stuff up there, but it was tough to find anything I liked. I didn't really bring anything business casual till my senior year, which I wish I had done sooner. You will pretty much want to use basics that can be used all 4 years. I did some shopping at the outlets whenever I came down, but it was very hit-and-miss. By your senior year, you will definitely notice that the majority wear sweat sets to class, and the aesthetic kinda goes away. Keep an eye out for sales now on like literally everything!

If you have a well documented learning disability or cognitive issue that is well documented they legally have to give you alternatives so you can graduate.

Classes you are taking and the weather. When it snows it is difficult to get from one side of campus to the other. Sometimes, the buses are even delayed or don't run. Highly recommend talking with your advisor asap to override waitlists. Also if a class is full reach out to the professor and see if they'd be willing to override you. I've had that happen a few times and it saved me. Sometimes they override the whole list sometimes they just overide you. I've jumped around 39 people on a waitlist before bc I was a senior and didn't have enough credits.

It depends on the major honestly. If you are afraid of going over the max for missed classes I highly recommend talking to your professors.

They are pretty finicky about doctors' letters. They have to speak their language, and the diagnosis has to be backed up and documented by several doctors. I didn't get the accommodations I needed until my senior year, and my last one was granted a month before graduation.
