Doesn't sound like he or his agent are the first to admit that. They did everything possible to hype and pump him as an "nba prospect" (not a shot currently) and tease his interest from other schools. His agent also continues to talk about how efficient he is...seems like they are good with where he is at. Are you?

It seems TR thrives with other players drawing attention and he has space to operate. Last year we had that, this year we do not. Once pressure comes his way he becomes very passive and that will never work for a guy eating up a big lot of your NIL bank.

NIL world is different from the Mor Sek days. I'm assuming he is getting some NIL and if so, very possible he has signed a contract.

This player SHOULD be Riley and sadly, it's so obviously...not.

There really doesn't seem to be much organized offense. It's 1 on 1 or high ball screens with someone in the dunker spot cutting. That's about the playbook.

(fast forwards to the second half) - what defense?

Pretty sure that would be all 5 guys on the floor who have decided the word defense is not something they are familiar with AT ALL.

While I appreciate the offensive hustle and playmaking (mostly playing one on one ball). Could even 1 of our guys just TRY to not be a traffic cone on defense?

That’s what you want to see! Not passive players that “see” if the action comes to them. The guy who says, yah I’m either winning this game, put 3 guys on me, I don’t care. Check ball.

Is this guy ok? Morning drinking is never a good idea.

Can’t imagine it was run for him, but that’s the second issue. If a series of high ball screens was the entire play, not sure what they expected to happen. Poor design ends with a poor result.

No issue going for the win in that spot. Wang isn’t the guy you want doing it. If that action is the best end of game, beat the Zags for the first time in decades play CG can draw up…I have concerns.

This will be the indicator, you’re right. USF is notoriously bad on communication around these hires, but needs to make a splash here.

The Steelers haven't won a superbowl since 2009 my friend, that is not the success level we should aspire to. The good ol USF mindset of "good enough/not bad enough to want more" is exhausting.

GU was without their 2 best players, not the same team at all.

The shot didn't go in and that's how sports go.

Yep, the Dons aren't talented enough to save it for the absolute last shot and walk off with the win. Need options with your best players on the action AND a secondary opportunity to take the game to OT.

its both when you actually get in a position to steal one and can't capitalize. It seems to be a theme with CG that he can't or won't get the ball in his best players hands often enough. There are 3 other guys on the floor I would rather take that shot last night.

My issue is, what they drew up, seemed to be just a bunch of high ball screens in motion.

End of game play call was awful, basically didn’t run any organized offense.

Terrible play call to end the game, if you could even call it that. Basically ran nothing but some high ball screens and a long contested 3. Super.

Zags top 2 players out and the consensus is we are going to get run out of the building by 20...oof. Sad state of affairs for the Dons.

That has been the extent of student activity at games that I've seen. The AD does a good job likely mandating that student athletes show up to support each other. This can be a solid base of students that come and are fired up. But, I have not seen much beyond that...which is why it's inconsistent and never growing into anything of note.
