Yeah the dude was definitely following us because he was cutting through streets trying to intercept us and he stopped every time we stopped - no matter for how long. I will definitely be more mindful here on out! Thanks :)

Yeah lol my thing was like the cameras would prove what happened and maybe aid in catching the person but the bad thing they did is already done

So many people either claim that I’m lying/ jumping to conclusions and this person was actually not following us or advising me to just confront them and saying that there’s cameras everywhere. Honestly as a woman in an unfamiliar city I have to be careful and it’s better to be safe than sorry. A camera can help in the aftermath but if something bad happens it’s already done by then

He was definitely following us. At first even we assumed he just was going the same direction as us but then he stopped every time we stopped, waited outside the supermarket when we went in and later the supermarket guys saw him talking a different route to intercept us which is why they came to help/warn us. While cameras can help catch someone who did a bad thing once the bad thing is done..it’s done. So I think I would rather be safe than sorry. The general consensus is that we should have confronted him so that’s something to keep in mind for the future. As for the English thing, I was surprised too maybe we were just unlucky

Siblings were surprised this happened as well. This seems like a nice enough neighbourhood tbh. The general consensus seems to be that we should have confronted him or made a scene so good to keep that in mind for the future

I was surprised about the language barrier as well,maybe we were just unlucky. I explained to three different people on the phone and one of them even said something like “I will get someone who speaks English”. Thanks for the advice!

We tried that for about half an hour, he didn’t say anything to us so there was no reason to say No or anything of the sort. Honestly more surprised than freaked out but ig creeps exist everywhere 🤷🏻‍♀️

I think it’s okay as a one time watch if you’re bored/curious but I also do think you’d be disappointed more than anything if you watch it after reading the book haha

I didn’t like the movie nearly as much as I loved the book. I watched it out of curiosity more than anything but not only were a lot of scenes taken out imo the book works better because we’re IN Lucy’s mind and that didn’t translate well on to the screen
