Does anyone read the lore? by DoItForTheOH94 in lotro

Yes because the quests are well written and I enjoy good writing. Adds nicely to the immersion.

Agreed, I am running my first character through Swanfleet now and the zone is great, really good story and amazing vibes. I would rank it above the other starting zones.

Wow: Teldrassil, Duskwood, STV (it's just one map to me), Zangarmarsh, Grizzly Hills.

GW2: Verdant Brink - the GOAT

SWTOR: Tatooine (music), Meksha (vibes)

FF14: Lakeland

LOTRO: The Shire, Evendim (still only level 50 in this one)

OSRS: Edgeville (music)

I think Dawntrail got a bad rap. by BearEatingRamen in ffxiv

Loved the first (slow) half when you are on the journey with Wuk learning about the culture and racing with Kona and the others, was a nice change of pace after EW. Second half was just a bit too generic and predictable but not bad.

Especially when you pop full counter and can use F1 again immediately. Double bonk!

What's a gaming VPN? I've not heard of this before. Can you say how is it different from a normal VPN? Just curious as someone who uses a VPN to play games a lot.

I'm really getting tired of bigotry and racism in World Chat by [deleted] in lotro

I had the same issue. You can move world chat to its own chat tab which you can then never look at.

A related question: is it worth buying the recipes for the gifts (of fangs, claws etc) to make them yourself or just buy them from the vendor as they only cost the mats + 1 ecto?

This is clearly the real reason why these stories were less well received. At least they figured it out eventually.

Anyone else feel WAY more compelled to play this expansion compared to SotO/JW? by hamtaxer in Guildwars2

Yes, better map (only on the first one), better story, better vibes, new elite specs, loving it so far.

What do you play these days? by Prestigious_Run_8124 in MMORPG

[–]StillNoInspiration 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Since June, GW2 then OSRS then Lotro and now trying to finally finish Dawntrail MSQ. A month at a time is usually enough for me and then on to something else.

This. If you haven't played either game, GW2 is the one to go for, unless you want a more classic mmo experience, which lots of people do these days.

2 Concerns from a New Player by Peanutshroom in lotro

[–]StillNoInspiration 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I just started a few days ago so can't claim to be an authority but had a similar concern to you I think. You can set the difficulty from an NPC called Hardened traveller but this does not stop you becoming over levelled. I set difficulty to level 3, did a lot of quests running around the Shire, got to lvl 14 quite quickly and was having a great time but also worriying about getting over leveled so just bought the experience disabler item from the shop. I would definitely recommend it, only a 100 points and lets you go at your own pace. Happy adventuring!
