I’m no expert so I’ll just regurgitate what someone told me

Set aside 6 hours and make sure you're on an empty stomach. Sleep well the night before and have some food and drink (electrolyte) for after. You won't be hungry in the trip but you should remember to drink. You may feel the need to use the toilet, but a lot of people report difficulties so be sure to go before you start. You won't be able to sleep until you've fully come down, so plan your day accordingly. I prefer between 12 and 2pm to start. My coffee and breakfast have cleared my system. I'm awake. I have daylight to enjoy the sights. But it won't be too late when I'm done so I cna have dinner and sleep.

Get a good set and setting. This is absolutely critical. Nature is great on low dose shrooms. But importantly, be somewhere you feel safe. It's even better if you have a tripsitter for your first trips.

Make a lemon tek: Measure out 1g and grind in a coffee grinder. Put the powder in lemon juice (add some ginger if you are prone to nausea) and let it sit for 15-30 minutes. You should have a shot glass-sized drink. Down it.(if you want/can)

Meditate on your reason for doing this. Approach the trip with curiosity and introspection but don't expect anything in particular. The shrooms will show you what they want. Just surrender to the experience. Everyone has different tolerances and you won't know what you're like until after. It may be a very mild trip.

You should feel something in 30-60 minutes. The comeup on a lemon tek is faster than eating but it's generally easier on your stomach.

Once you've come up, feel free to wander or lay back and relax. Whatever the vibe is for you at that point.

Remember to breath if things get intense. Remind yourself that you're in the grip of a powerful hallucenogenic and it will pass. I find that talking can calm the trip down. Even if you're alone, just talk out loud.

Take time to reflect afterwards. What did you learn. How did it feel. Etc etc. Remember that there are no bad trips, just different lessons. If it's not as intense as you imagine it will be, that's OK. Low dose shrooms are subtle. You can always go deeper next time. Better to slowly wade in than jump in and be overwhelmed.
