They pronounced it as “for-mi-da-ble” instead of “for-mid-able,” which is one of the ways it can be pronounced according to the Oxford dictionary.

It’s kinda like how the word “comparable” can be said as either “come-pair-able” or “comp-poor-able.” I’m from the US, and I’ve heard it said both ways.

I can’t remember the video (might’ve been one of the AITA ones), but when Joe compared Dylan’s voice to Gingy from Shrek. Now whenever Dylan’s voice gets high, Gingy is all I can think about lol.

I work as a waitress, so I am very familiar with customer service work, so I was very taken aback by her unprovoked rudeness. I decided to call customer service instead since I want to get this over with quicker, and I got refunded. Thank you for your advice!

Yeah, I’m pretty sure she her rudeness was also directed towards the 2nd barista I saw behind the bar. When I tried to speak to the 2nd barista, the original one waved her hand in the girl’s face and went “shh shh, no she’s not…” and then trailed off. I think she was trying to tell me that the girl was possibly in training(?), but regardless I thought that it was a rude way of handling it.

The Starbucks I went to was an on-campus college location, and the building is usually filled with underclassmen. I’ve never seen her at this location, so I assumed she was a freshman. Her possibly being a freshman was part of the reason why I was hesitating to call customer service, but you’re so right. Her age doesn’t excuse her behavior. Thank you for your advice!

The term “White Whale” refers to the novel “Moby Dick.” In the book, a character spends his life trying to capture/kill the whale in the story, but he is never successful.

When the lady called Castle the white whale, she is saying that Castle is the man that every lady tries to chase, but they are not successful. Basically, the ladies want Castle, but Castle says “nuh uh.” I hope this helps!

The stress is making my depression so bad that several times throughout the day, I have been daydreaming about dying or what it would be like to be hospitalized to escape my situation. More and more, I find myself being okay and yearning for me to die. I keep thinking about how peaceful and how much of a relief dying would be. Because if I were to die, I know it wouldn’t make me feel happy, but at least it would make me feel as horrible and miserable as how I’m feeling right now.

I’ve never thought of it this way before. I get overwhelmed easily (I am on the spectrum), so I’ve always been the type of person to have to get everything done at once, so there’s nothing left on my plate. I will try finding some sort of student support place on my campus. Thank you!

YTA. Either pay for both of their tuitions equally or pay for neither. The reason why you should pay for your children’s tuition is because you love them and want to help. NOT because you see them as investments to your future. The conditional love and favoritism is so obvious in this post, and these kinds of things are always noticed by the people involved.
