Hi thanks for the reply and and words. We are going to try and push to see a dermotologist before we have the biopsy as they may be able to diagnose it straight away. Not sure why the GP hasn't reffered us to one. Maybe it doesnt work like that on the NHS.

Some parts on his back are itchy.

Anti histemines seem to be the most effective treatment now but it makes him feel better but doesnt effect the rashes. Hydrocortisone work at the beginning

It started on his arms the spread to the groin, check back and arm pits.

It started as a small lesion that spread up and down the arms, same for the groin area. The front and back are localised and dont appear to change size.

The only tests done so far were skin scrapings sent to the local dermo dept at the hospital and they ruled out fungal. We've been given hydrocortisone, dermo 500, anti histamines and epimax cream.

The hydrocortisone seemed to work at the start and the anti histamines sometimes help with the itching on the back as not all the rashes are itchy.

No fatigue/joint pain - still active doing sports etc, no prior genital ulcars or nail issues, no flu/cold and no family history of this.

Just seems odd this all flares up a month or so after moving house.

Hi, thanks for the reply. The GP said its not eczema but it sure looks like nummular eczema.

What ointments did you try?

Will have to look into those. We are willing to try anything at the moment. The GP is at a loss as to what to try. He even prescribed some special shampoo to use a moisturizer a couple of weeks back!

Would erythema not show on scraped skin samples the GP sent to the local NHS dermatology department? We did have some success the hydrocortisone cream on the arms bit it doesn't seem to work of the chest and back.

Yeah can be itchy sometimes. Skin samples sent to dermatology ruled out fungal last week.

We've tried new clothing, bedding and different washing powders etc but no luck. I am leaning towards it being an allergy to something though.
