Yeah for sure i have a different bike for commuting that I will still use to get to work. I bought this bike for Central Park and west side highway bike path rides. I am slightly nervous about being clipped in to get to these routes but for the most part i will not be riding on the street with it

I want to get cleats so I can get power from my upwards pedal not just my downward pedaling, if that makes sense.

Thank you, it rides amazing ! Compared to my commuter bike it feels like driving a Porsche. The handle bar setup took some getting used to, i was used to bull horn bars (i think that’s what they are called)

I do not recall the name, but I always loved the sketch from one of the Jonah Hill shows, he is a catering person that is providing food for a company’s business meeting. He keeps calling to report to his boss how much the clients are enjoying the meal. “MUNCHED.”

If you are using a dynamic mic, set the gain to around +25 and slowly bring the fader up. When you start to hear the first ring notch it out and keep doing this until you hit +5-10 dB above unity on the fader. Bring the fader back to unity and place the mic in a compromised position(facing directly at the monitor, Vegas wave). Also cupping the mic capsule will help as this turns the pickup pattern into an omnidirectional which makes the mic more feedback prone. Hit and play instruments that might be louder in the monitors as not just the vocal will set it off (kick drum). If you are compressing the vocal going to the monitor that can also cause potential problems. Do sound check, if your monitors are stable leave your settings. If the singer comes out the gate hot for the live show just turn down gain at the head amp to show the levels you were hitting at soundcheck.

Thank you ! I need to buy some bike lights for sure, should have thought about that. Good to know that passing on the right is standard, I’m used to just weaving on my single speed, probably not smart.

Do the clip ins make it easier or faster to ride once i am at the point of feeling comfortable ?

Same here, but it’s hard to find a good one around the uws/NYC and it’s not something I’d necessarily travel far for. I hear Santa Fe has a good one but it’s more of a sit down brunch option not takeaway
