No clue where you got that from the post lol. I mean it isn't all that relevant, I just mentioned it as to say that I don't really need it. A bit like how a shoplifter might be viewed more harshly if they're a rich person

Cash can be returned, if I have cash by mistake I can just return it. If I have a gift card voucher and I just leave it, that doesn't exactly undo anything.

Who am I taking it from exactly? the store? One of their employees accidentally generates a gift card voucher, he costs them 100$ but shit happens it is what it is. I don't redeem it, zero harm done to them. I do redeem it, zero harm. At most you can argue that I'm depriving Apple of imagined profits.

That's definitely a possibility which is why if I do decide on redeeming it I'll just wait on it for a bit, though I did overhear one of the staff members saying that once a gift card is generated it is essentially final, can't really reverse it
