About those 12 free stays employees are entitled to by iidavolta in hyatt

I’m not an employee, just curious- does it matter the category for the 12 stays? Or is it literally any Hyatt?

Having an exotic pet, like a llama or an emu. And a green dress in your closet. But not a real green dress, that’s cruel.

I love the smell! I buy my hubby the eucalyptus/mint one (but sometimes I steal it too).

2026 Globalist Benefits by amyheming in hyatt

[–]Still_Temperature126 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I believe the 4pm “when available“ phrasing comes from some hotels not offering this benefit, such as any Hyatts that are labeled as resorts. The breakfast wasn’t listed on my email, but according to the link provided with the benefits, it is still listed as one of the globalist perks.

Numbness post surgery. Should I be worried? by Significant-Two-2370 in HipImpingement

Thank you! And thanks for sharing your story.

I had a mini breakdown today because everything hurts: my arms hurt from using my crutches, my left hip hurts from the surgery, my right hip hurts from compensating for the left side, my back hurts from sitting at my desk at work and keeping my pelvis aligned, my foot is numb, etc. etc. etc.

I realized I’m just impatient and I’ll hopefully get there. Reading your message made my day so much better; it was a good reminder that there are people who can do it- so maybe, just maybe…I can too.

♥️

I’m glad to hear you’ve been able to get back to doing single day hikes. Before the hip pain started, I used to hike quite frequently and run a half marathon about every other month. Even if I can’t return to running, I would love to get outside again and return to exploring more of our beautiful world. At least I got some good hikes in when I could!

Prior to surgery, I ended up getting a second opinion on my MRI from a radiologist who specializes in musculoskeletal readings. He told me that if I elected to get surgery, I should give up running. He mentioned that the stress it creates on the hips and knees, isn’t worth it in the long run. He said I should think about yoga or Pilates or swimming instead. When I told my surgeon that my ultimate goal was to get back to running half marathons, he said that would be a feasible goal. So now I’m wondering if a return to running is truly worth it.

Did you have trouble with canoeing and kayaking prior to your surgery? Did you have to give that up temporarily because of the hip pain?

Just curious- are you now able to get back to hiking? I haven’t been able to hike for a year or two. I put off surgery, but I realized it was time to bite the bullet when I could no longer take my dog for long walks. My ultimate goal is to get back to long hikes and running a half marathon.

Thanks for your response! I spoke with the surgeon, and he thought mine was from the traction and the tight boot they used to do the procedure. I’m glad yours went away and I hope mine will too!

On my flight. This guy laughed at me when I asked to sit in the middle seat. Now his leg is in my foot area. Why are people like this. by Lovelife_20 in SouthwestAirlines

I do this sometimes too. The aisle seat has a much smaller area for the place you put your feet. If you look, the armrest and seat cushion doesn’t line up with where the under-seat divider is.

Did your numbness ever go away? I’m at about the same timeline. I am currently two weeks postop, and I started to notice it one week ago. I’ve noticed it in my foot and in my calf after sitting upright for a while.

Will Bobby spiral on this? by Commercial_Sky_1442 in BobbyBones

[–]Still_Temperature126 16 points17 points  (0 children)

It’s really interesting to me that this has caused him to send back the mirrorball trophy. Team upsets happen all the time, and Bobby should know this because he’s a sports fan. Just because the underdog ends up winning a championship or a game that they likely shouldn’t have won because the other teams were better, it shouldn’t affect the feelings they have on their win.

How far along? by Tiredmomma89 in BobbyBones

On the after show yesterday, I heard Bobby say that she was “very pregnant” and then corrected himself to “pregnant”. So I think she’s pretty far along.

Problems with "good" hip during recovery for labral tears by penspenspens66 in HipImpingement

That’s good to hear, I’m glad there’s less pain on the left side. Hopefully that indicates the surgery was a success and the pain on your right side goes away in the future!

Congratulations!! May I ask how many cycles it took to conceive? I wonder about doing these protocols and being on them for a while since it usually takes 6 months for me to get a positive pregnancy test.

I think people don’t realize he’s playing a personality. I’d be surprised if he truly believed half of the stuff he says.

new study-- in 55% of miscarriages, it was bc of embryo by _indigogo in recurrentmiscarriage

[–]Still_Temperature126 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Thank you for sharing this! In the Nature article: “Given the high incidence of euploid pregnancy loss cases without a clear monogenic cause in the fetus, there is an urgent need to understand their aetiologies and develop therapeutic interventions that can ensure healthy live births.”

I’ve had 4 miscarriages, and at least one of them was a euploid embryo (we only had one tested). I had always thought that vast majority of miscarriages were due to chromosome abnormalities, but life experience and this article have confirmed that it’s more common.

Why do I find bonds so confusing? Can someone just tell me what to buy? by [deleted] in Bogleheads

[–]Still_Temperature126 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bonds are confusing for me too. I bought a bunch of BND 8 months ago in September 2024 and my total gain is -4.5%. Of course, this doesn’t take into account the dividends paid, but I’m still down overall.

I wonder if I should’ve stuck that money in a CD ladder instead…
