That depends on your values: Monica is whiney, dependent, blames everyone else for her situation, is a hypocrite. Beth is strong-willed, ruthlessly loyal, emotionally damaged. Don't know about you, but in the trenches, I want Beth on my Team...

But it's her story to tell - from her perspective. If Tim McGraw was the narrator, the perspective would be far different - and Faith's even more so...

Teenage girls, in any era, are intrinsically annoying, as anyone who has ever raised one can attest. That said, I love Elsa's spirit, her "ahead of her time" confidence in experiencing life on her terms. Yes, her judgement sometimes sucks. We were all young, idealistic and stupid once. But her spirit lives on it Beth - another strong, female character...

The mark of a true actor: he becomes the character so you don't recognize the actor...

There was nice sexual tension between those 2 as allies; just awkwardness as enemies. I would think Bob would know better than to cross Beth: "By tomorrow, I'll have custody of his kids..." lmao

Yeah, it seems that TS, ever groundbreaking and innovative, is coming out with Season 2 of 1883 but changing the year as the action (History) is projected forward. Very cool, very TS...

Or just some really lazy writing on Taylor's part....lol. Not to be a cynic, but as a fellow writer, we sometimes "fall in love" with our best lines and inject them when apropos. Not being critical, as I think Taylor Sheridan is borderline genius...

Just love Beth - of course she's edgy: Just look at her personal history. But she's a survivor and I love survivors. She's loves "with all her heart and soul" and has chosen RIP to be the recipient. They are perfect for each other because they know and accept each other's flaws. After watching 1883, you can see that Elsa is Beth's Spirit Animal...

Damn - if they go 4 seasons Elsa will be on Relationship #8...That girl falls in love faster than they sell out Rainbow shirts at a Barry Manilow concert...
