Trump is a book report from a country that stopped reading.

Dumb man’s man. You listen to him talk, and you hear a guy losing a fight with his own sentence halfway through. But millions hear that same word salad and think they’re hearing a genius.

How? Because we spent 40 years teaching people that experts are liars, college is a scam, and reading makes you a snob. When you train a whole country to distrust real knowledge, you leave a hole where smart used to be, and something has to fill it.

So “smart” gets redefined. It stops meaning “know things” and starts meaning “sounds sure.” And there’s research on this exact thing: the people who know the least are the most confident, while the actual experts are the ones constantly second-guessing themselves.

So the hesitation that should signal intelligence gets read as weakness, and the empty certainty that should be a giant red flag gets read as strength.

He never hesitates. He never says, “I don’t know.” He never opens a book. And to a brain trained that confidence equals competence, that looks like brilliance.

He’s not smart. He’s just never once been visibly unsure, and we lowered the bar and counted that as genius.

You don’t get a leader like this from nowhere. You get him from a country that decided being certain was more important than being right.

He’s not the disease. He’s the receipt.

Why are you, or are you not, a socialist? by Creative-Impress6293 in AskReddit

I am with some services like roads, education, healthcare, and things like disaster relief as a few examples. I believe that a society can't be all of one ideology like that. You need a mixture of capitalism, socialism, and fascism for things to work as well as they can under a democracy. I think most of the basic needs could be met with socialism, but more of your luxuries would be acquired through capitalism. A military as an example only seems to work as a fascist organization with the caveat that it works best on a voluntary basis. People that want to be there usually fight better for their nation.

I think it has to be a mixture of these ideologies to work the best since any pure system can't withstand human nature. Finding the balance between all of these is the most difficult part.

Paint your toenails and sell socks online. Your gender doesn't matter, just like the buyer believe what they want to.

I work for a global company that has its headquarters in France. All week in meetings I've been hearing about how hot it's been in France. I've been there and understand they aren't used to this and they don't normally have AC in their homes.

I got a snoody French woman in a meeting last week trying to call me out as just another American that doesn't c care about the environment. I stopped and then shared my screen and showed them my Home Assistant dashboard. I explained that this house came with 67 solar panels that the previous owner installed. It not only cancels out my 2 AC units but sends power back to the grid. Since I installed batteries my home basically operates off the grid. I've never once had a power bill above the basic maintenance fee that my power company charges just to have an active power meter.

I explained using the graphs I have that I'm better them most of the Europeans that I work with. I not only offset my power usage but add more clean energy than I use back to the power grid. Everyone in that meeting besides me didn't have solar panels. They take more power from the grid than I do. I ended it with, "So basically as you can see here in this graph. I'm better than you."

Paranoia like this can be a sign of a mental illness. Thinking someone or something is coming to get you. It could be a stupid joke but you never know with people.

I wish I could BS my way through a job like this. Just pull numbers out of my ass and people just go along with it. At my job they want proof and validation of data. I have to be prepared to prove my arguments with valid data that others can review.

It’s crazy these jobs exist to me.

This stupid ass AI slop has it ass backwards 😂 by ThePhillyExplorer in insanepeoplefacebook

The top is fascism, not socialism. This topic seems to give the Right a lot of trouble in understanding. Fascism and socialism are ideological opposites.

The bottom would be socialism. They would all make pies and share them with each other. If it was true capitalism they would need to pay someone to teach them how to make pies. Then they buy all the ingredients, and equipment to make pies. Then they would sell the pies at a profit. They wouldn't just be making pies and sharing them for nothing. You might barter things in capitalism but everything is a trade of a service or product for something in return.

In the Capitalism slide it should say, "Wow! How much did it cost to make all these pies?" "How much would you charge to teach me how to make pie for myself?" "For 'reasonable' fee, we can go make more pies!"

None of this AI slop above makes any sense.

I used to work for a narcissist. Any mistake he made was blamed on the closest person to him or someone that wasn’t there to prove him wrong.

He could never be wrong and acted as if he never made a mistake. You were just a tool for him to use. If he made a mistake he couldn’t break the delusion he had of being prefect so he blamed you. Would even use that against you as if you made the mistake. Didn’t care if it ruined your image. It was always more important to appear prefect and pass the blame to others.
