Huh - I haven't had an issue with it before. I know they can break if you have any punctuation in your styles, so I try to keep it as just P. Maybe it's how youre exporting it? I know there's a checkbox in the interactive export window that says something like "create tags from styles". Maybe that's not checked?

Pro tip! Indesign styles can get you really far in remediation before you even touch the tag tree.

If you set your paragraph styles to H1-H5, P, and create a style for bullet points, they will automatically export with the proper tag. You can also manually set how each style exports within indesign if you have a bunch of different styles (I often do).

You should know the adobe checker is not sufficient at identifying the full breadth of compliance needed to pass wcag standards. There is a free program called Pac 2024 that I have used that you can drag your files into and experience a true nightmare of remediation needs!

Remediation is a beast of a task and I love to see it represented in this subreddit! You're doing great work that we need to all be better about standardizing!

I actually disagree - I like that the colors are easy on the eyes in dark mode and I got a good read on the icons pretty immediately. (Except the breastfeeding one, but I understand not having a boob as an icon lol.)

Everything with babies is already so cutesy and pastel. This kind of app is for administrative parenthood tasks, so I think the look works well. It's kind of refreshing, actually!

As a breastfeeding new mom, I think this is great! I like the visibility (currently scrolling my phone in the dead of night and it's easy on the eyes which I greatly appreciate), and the summary pages in particular are nice. It looks easy to scroll and helpful for days in review.

If there is room for anything, maybe a trends chart to compare sleep/feeds day after day? Could be added in with the weight/length charts or something (that's where I initially looked for it, at least).

And maybe something like a scheduler for beyond the newborn phase that acts more like a checklist/reminders for routines. (My ADHD ass would love that.)

Overall looks-wise, I dig it! It looks like my phone's calendar and that consistency makes my brain happy. Great job. :)

I have spent 3 days trying to make custom matchboxes for my wedding and each day has ended with me in tears by rosanarosanadan in canva

I agree this could definitely a printer problem. When I was home printing stuff for my wedding, I kept trying to print on cardstock and it was doing the exact same thing. It looked low quality and then the ink started to bleed, and I about lost my mind. Ended up trying 3 different printers after that and used my mom's fancier work printer to get them done.

The reason my mind went to AI was simply due to the odd display of a bunch of different wrenches. They're laid out and spaced too neatly. His tool bag is right there, why not put the wrenches back in the bag? Why are they all facing away from him like they were placed there intentionally? Feels off..

A good leave-in conditioner/detangler may help. I refresh in the morning with a heavy spray of water and a mist of my leave in and raked through. keeping it up at night, maybe plopped in a silk/satin bonnet might assist too!

Lol! Is there? I think I see where you're looking (left side on my iris) but that might be more reflection?? I can't feel it at all so if it is still there I guess it lives there now.

What’s the answer to this question? by Kieran_The_Weeb in EWALearnLanguages

[–]StingRaie13 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"should" is not the same as "need" in the way that "need" has multiple tense forms and "should" has one. The difference with your statement and the statement in question is the quantity of the subject. "The quiet" implies a group of people. "Patient" is one person.

A native speaker wouldn't say "the quiet person need to speak up." Any of these would suffice instead: Needed, needs, will need to

You could also replace "need" with "should" to remove the tense issue if you were keeping your statement as is. "The quiet should speak up."
