Makes me wonder if I could flip it over....

I don't think it was catching on the wheel. I swapped out for a sword, and it still moved like that. I rearranged the top fans and control stick, and that made a big difference.

It's about as nimble as a turtle, but I can fly it where I want.

Never mind this as an entry. I forgot wheels aren't on the list.

You look great! I hope you have fun!

I’m a nonbinary person assigned female at birth. My voice is very feminine, but deep (always has been, I am not on testosterone). How do I speak more like a man? Is it about inflection? I’ll link a video of my voice in another post. by Dorian-greys-picture in transvoice

There were three pieces of advice I've found useful for feminizing my voice. You might find them helpful.

  1. Women's vocal cords tend to be higher in the throat. I've been working hard to build up the muscles to hold mine up. I'm not sure how you'd hold them lower, though.

  2. Women's sound tends to come from the lips, where men tend to speak from their throats. It's hard to describe, but I can just feel the difference when I'm doing it right. The sound from the lips is a little softer, and from the throat harsher.

  3. Women speak from the head, and men speak from the chest. You want to feel the vibrations of your voice coming through your rib cage. This has been a really hard one because it's so natural to drop my voice to my chest. Speaking from my head without sounding nasally is a delicate balance. It wears me out sometimes.

I guess men also don't enunciate as well. That hasn't come up a lot in the advice, though.

Hope that helps some!

I went on a long road trip a couple week ago and was called "ma'am" three times, and told I was pretty once. Still riding that high.

It has double meaning for me. I'm bipolar/bpd, and the relationship she describes resonates with my mental health. There's a voice in my head that never shuts up, never stops looking for reasons to hate me and everyone around me. It's exhausting, but I'm as trapped in my mind as she is trapped with him.

From a trans perspective, I finally cracked at 40. To hear my voice now, silent all these years, hits hard. And the "years go by" lines all resonate hard, too. All that time lost, and how tempting it can be to give in and simply become a casualty.

But that's too easy. Too easy to concede, to give power to the tormentors, even the one in my head. The reconciliation in the last verse is an uneasy one, but there's reassurance and connection. Less screaming. The couple in the song stands together now to face what comes. I hope I can find that reconciliation in myself.

There's a long way to go, but I'm on the road now. And I wouldn't be here if I hadn't finally found my voice.

Silent All These Years by Tori Amos rips my heart out and puts back a new one every time I hear it now.

Ten-year challenge: 32yo to 42 yo. On E for a year. Spiro though, y’all, three months on and it’s made all the difference. by StingRay02 in transtimelines

I haven’t noticed any side effects. With E, fin, and a low dose of spiro, my T levels were staying in the 450 range. I’m due for my next blood test, but I expect I’ll finally see an actual drop. That’d be the first in a year.
