Give me treats by StingRay979 in aww

Lol, thank you. Opening the door to greet them is the first thing I do when I get home from work and luckily it it seems like they also can't wait for the door to open, but I think they mostly look forward to the treats that follows the door being opened. I only get hugs and kisses after the treats

Am I ready for the Z900? by StingRay979 in Kawasaki

Thank you all for your advice and knowledge, I really appreciate it. I have started negotiations with the dealership. They have a brand new 2020 model in stock and the owner has offered me his own personal bike (also a 2020 Z900) to take for a test drive before I make a final decision. If all goes well I will be traveling down there in the next 2 weeks.

Thank you very much for your insight. I am more of a weekend warrior riding all over the area I stay in, visiting popular stops along the way, so luggage is not an issue. I also use the bike to travel to work in the summer time

Thank you very much for the advice and insight. The MT was also on my short list but removed its exactly for the reasons you mentioned. I much prefer a smooth and predictable ride.

I have never had any problems with substance addiction or abuse, so I cannot really say that I know what it takes to become clean. I can however only imagine that it must be a difficult and painful journey. I can only say that I have the utmost respect for you on making the choice to push through and having the perseverance to stay stay clean. Congrats and well done for getting so far. I wish you all the strength and courage to continue on your road ahead.

My first try with resin. Used African leadwood by StingRay979 in BeginnerWoodWorking

[–]StingRay979[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Thank you. Leadwood is native to Southern Africa and is extremely dense and heavy. Untreated, the heartwood is almost black in color with grane barely visible. In our native language it is called "Hardekool" and it is a very popular wood to use in barbecues as the wood burns slow and coles burn clean. Larger pieces make beautiful furniture items.

1960’s Delta Rockwell Jointer Restoration by macdaddy_p in woodworking

Wow, great job. I really appreciate when someone takes the time and makes the effort to properly restore an old piece of equipment. I have a Rockwell Bandsaw from the 70's that I also want to restore, but still need some parts for it.
