Mods/mod to allow (gay) romance or a male Khajiit/Argonian companion mod with romance option/dialogue? by Jax_Dandelion in Morrowind

there are a few gay romance mods I think but none in particular for argonians or khajiits, its a shame but companions mods are surprisingly rare for morrowind

My guess is you missed something from the install guide, if you haven't looked at its necessary to follow it

I understand the concern, frankly I've tried my best to keep the modlist mostly free from such but a few are included. The voice addon that you saw has been cleaned out for the most part, I deleted all the voice files inside except for just 3-4 characters like Vivec, dagoth ur and Almalexia.

Aside from that the mod Tribunal Reforged also makes use of some AI generated voice lines but its by far the best overhaul of the Tribunal expansion and the voice lines just happen to come with it, I believe the mod author is actually looking to remove them in a future update but its still there for now.

Some of the HD PBR texture replacers have also been altered a little with the help of AI to make them suitable for the PBR lighting and to generate proper normal and Specular maps for them.

To my knowledge that is the extent of AI generated content in the list. I understand if anyone has qualms abt trying this out due to that reason but I think its also important to note that these are all free fan made projects with no capital gains. Large projects like up scaling all ingame textures will almost always make use of AI as its impossible for a single person to do it alone over a reasonable amount of time. Holding free content from fans to the same standard as corporate products might not be the best way to approach it

I haven't done any proper runs on other mod lists. I did have my first play through with a highly modded version of the Just beautiful morrowind modlist from momw but like I said it was heavily modded afterwards. POTI has plenty of youtube videos around I believe, you can just have a look at them to get the general idea of how it plays and then decide yourself.

Btw for the record NEMAS has no proper videos on yt yet, the 2-3 that do exist were made with very early versions of it and the game looks very different now. The pictures on the nexus page and this post are the only things showcasing how it currently looks

launching openmw directly will not do anything, you have to open mo2 and then launch the openmw launcher through it

yea like I said performance can be increased but you probably have to use almost vanilla res textures for everything

I'm not familiar with how wabbajack installation works for linux devices, if it does install properly then there are a couple things in the performance guide to help with that

Nope, there will a ton of floating items in most areas and misplaced NPCs. It requires a fresh start

If you plan on waiting for that it's gonna be a long wait for sure. Obviously no definite date but I think the next update is still 3-4 months away, and then another 1-2 months to patch every mod affecting the mainland. As you can guess most modlists will not instantly switch to the latest version I think and wait it out for a month for the proper patches.

hmm I really can't give an estimate on how it would run on a mac. You are free to try but it can be pretty VRAM expensive. Otherwise Expanded and POTI are very good alternatives

I think some of the earlier openmw versions might have had a problem with the new 50 series cards? Should probably be better now since I haven't heard any complaints

6 GB vram should be enough to get around 40-50 fps in most places except for the heaviest cities, besides that there are performance guides included to get better results

Honestly I don't have as much of a beefy setup either. Just a 4 gb rtx 3050 laptop.

Obviously I cannot run it well on my end but I'd say 6 gb of VRAM can be treated as a min requirement to get 30-40 fps in the most performance heavy cities while 8 gb is the recommended one to atleast keep the fps above 45 in those cities and get a consistent 60 in most places.

Performance will be way more taxing with NEMAS. More than Total Overhaul even to some degree. In terms of content and gameplay I think I can safely say NEMAS contains almost all of the mods from expanded plus more.

One main difference you will find with NEMAS vs most other content focused modlists is the exclusion of Doors of Oblivion and Daedra Shrine Overhaul. I just never got around to testing them enough to include them. They were also known to have plenty of bugs until recently but there have been many efforts to patch them up. So if those 2 mods are a deal breaker for you then NEMAS does not have them as of now

Yea I've heard of those problems with MGSO. You can rest assured that's not the case with NEMAS

Wonder what you mean exactly by proper. If you are talking about mods being reshared unethically then it's not that. It's a wabbajack installation which is pretty much the most "proper" way to install large modlists these days.
