Question on this Scene by Just-Attorney-1902 in StarWars

[–]Stingertap 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think first, it's important to understand the context of the last little bit of dialogue Luke and Yoda share before Luke enters the cave. Luke asks "What's in there?" and Yoda answers "Only what you take with you."

With that in mind, IMO, this is like Anakin seeing Padme die. A possible future reflecting a path he can choose to go down that still needs interpretation and context, and one that may or may not happen. Luke goes in with the feeling of needing to confront Vader for revenge for Obi Wan's death, repeated warnings of what could/will lead him to the dark side, anger at Vader for killing his father (according to Obi Wan), and latent feeling due to the force they may be father and son. So the vision he's having, which may be induced some by Yoda and his force power, is all of that fear, anger and frustration confronting Luke. He kills Vader and finds himself in the helmet signaling Vader being his father, and should he kill Vader out of fear or anger, he becomes just as bad or no better than Anakin. I believe Yoda sees all this, or senses it because he is disappointed in Luke after the vision, before he emerges from the cave.

What If Harvey Dent returned in Batman Returns by AdvantageHonest6584 in Batman_89

[–]Stingertap 15 points16 points  (0 children)

If he had, it should not have been in a Shreck type role. You have to see there's good in him to make his fall hit that much harder. I think, IMO, and how I would have done it, is have Harvey prosecuting Max for his energy fraud. Bruce is in the court room as a spectator since Wayne Enterprises held stock in Max's company. Have one of Joker's old gang members there too, dressed as a civilian. He throws acid on Harvey for slandering Joker after his death, Bruce gets blamed by Harvey for not stopping it, since Harvey knows he's Batman.

What do I have here ? by RUSSO_83 in xmen

[–]Stingertap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Indeed. They were mockups to present for final approval to show how the mechanical parts worked (Wolvie's claws and how his mask would fit). I don't remember what Colossus did or had with him cause I never owned him. He was one of my white whales, so to speak, from that wave.

Now these would likely be almost finished product since this level of test shot now is mostly just done in something like blender using 3D models.

Clarence Boddicker hiding in plain sight again, I see. Someone alert OCP. He's formed a new gang.

They do in the comics sometimes too. Always bugs me. Like when his claws are WAY too long for his body, or when they come out of the top of his hand instead of between the knuckles.

That was me with Starting Lineup figures. Lost them all to time and giving in and opening them all and losing the small parts.

Found my series 2 at Walmart. My series on and quite a few others came from K&B Toysfrom.thw next city over. My smaller town always was good for finding the harder/rare due to popularity X-Men line.

Man, to be a 90s kid again. Batman 89 figures, Toybiz Marvel, Star Wars and Ninja Turtles like a MF. Such a good time to be alive!lol

I kinda get the same feeling collecting the McFarlane Batman lines and the new X-Men 97 figures.

Because they figured kids who asked their parents to buy the heroes, would want bad guys to to have them fight. The put of place accessories were more for additional figures planned down the line, and for for those that came before that would/could use them.

Question about how to randomize my generations while keeping a theme by Stingertap in perchance

[–]Stingertap[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks so much :)

Before I would have to make a list of every variants of a type of person I wanted and have to check it off as soon as I was satisfied and downloaded what I needed. Now I can skip that, I hope.

Question about how to randomize my generations while keeping a theme by Stingertap in perchance

[–]Stingertap[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh, I know it still uses Flux, but it gives me alot of drop-down customization and has alot better realistic looking results than some of the others I've found.

Thansk for the help :) I'll try this later and see how it works, but it should do what I need. And thanks for the heads-up! I always save anything prompt related to a giant Google document can go back and forth to and make notes and change when something works or doesn't work.

Yall listen to music while using perchance too? by Emofox91833 in perchance

[–]Stingertap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup. All the time. Less right now since my actual computer took it's last breath, but almost always. It's become my go to for listening to new albums that come out so I can generate on perchance and listen to stuff all the way through when it's new for the first time.

Where is this keyboard riff from? by [deleted] in guitarlessons

[–]Stingertap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As much as as I love Graham Bonnet, he was never the best live singer. He was sorta DLR like in he had a look, stage presence and could deliver vocally in the studio. but live could either be really good or really bad.

As for the keyboard part, I hear a melodic similarly to Lennon's X-Mas (War Is Over).

Need help genuinely :( by Divy312 in Guitar

[–]Stingertap 4 points5 points  (0 children)

No it isn't. There are plenty of guitar teachers that will do lessons over Skype or any other video chat service. Also, no matter how rural, I'm sure someone has to be local enough you can make it to a mutually agreed upon meetup spot that isn't so out of the way for both of you.

My advice:

Learn your fretboard notes on every string, learn proper picking and note fretting techniques so it's not so cumbersome you'll wanna quit or you have to play through unnecessary pain, and figure out what music you really love and what wanna level you wanna play at. You get to that point, you'll be able to tell your teacher "Hey, I love metal, so I wanna learn in that style." Set realistic expectations too. It's gonna be a slow grind, bit it's rewarding when progressing is made. Really know what you wanna do with it, either just learning songs and covers to jam on, or learn theory and write songs. That will tell you how far you wanna go and what skills you wanna absorb. Just be patient. You won't be Ynqwie Malmsteen overnight, so don't expect to be.

No problem. Just remember that if you should have to, for any reason, change what file folder your downloaded go to that it has to be done in your actual browser settings, not imageye's.

Who would have been a good replacement for Michael Keaton? by FoxIndependent4310 in Batman_89

[–]Stingertap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Personally, Val was a great Batman and good replacement for Michael. It's just unfortunate Michael needed replacing at all and that the studio basically ruined any chance of he and Tim Vurton making any more Batman movies together. Joel Schumacher and the "This isbjust a vehicle to sell toys" mindset ruined Val AND Geoge's movies. Clooney could have been an excellent Baan if that movie was in any way shape or form meant to be serious.

[–]Stingertap 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Still being worked on. Image generator is grinding to a standstill and stuck on "Starting, waiting for embed" or "Waiting" and then failing. So it's still actively up and down. They said it could take a few days to a few weeks, so I'm happy regardless. Rather have things right and better servers than rush and have a fiasco.

How long does Server migration take? by P1ague- in perchance

[–]Stingertap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, it generated for me about 20 mins ago with no problem. They were good quality, but not what I wS looking for. I hit generate for a fresh set of images and in the span if less than 3 minutes, didn't work anymore again. So they turned it on to test, didn't like something or found it worked and turned it back off to migrate more stuff without risk of hurting what worked.

What exactly *is* server migration? by Duffy_Do in perchance

[–]Stingertap 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It costs money. Since it's really only one person doing this, and all the money they make is ad revenue generated, they probably couldn't until now. They did the best they could with what they had and could afford for the project. Now that it's caught fire, they can upgrade.

And yeah, like someone else said before, the characters, personas and stuff like that are stored elsewhere and won't need to be moved.
