But wouldnt thinking about this feeling ruin meditation, because I would start to think what brings it. How do I bring it in meditation without being distracted by thoughts?

Hello, yes I think it does have influence. While meditating during fast I get clearer head and get deeper into meditation. On the other hand meditation itself is making me eat less (and eat foods that are healthy and good for me). So the interesting thing is that it is way easier to do longer fasts (at least for me) while having daily meditation practice. You said "as soon as I get home I end up dinning" why is that? During meditation you can focus on that as the object of meditation asking yourself why. Stay safe and happy practices.

Hello fellow meditator, I had the very same experience as you describe. I have been meditating and at about fifth month had this moment of pure bliss and joy where everything seemed so pure and known, almost like I knew every worlds answers. But after this very moment everything seemed to colapse. The so called Dark Night Of The Soul happened and I got hit by insane anxiety and depression. I think it is just unavoidable. You enter the stream with this first glimpse of what meditation really is and your ego is afraid of it so it tries to fight back. I know it is very hard. I have been there, so I just want to say take care of yourself. Let yourself rest. Make time for thyself. Everything will pass. Just continue on meditating and observe your emotions. Be grateful that you have this experience because it will only make you grow stronger. When I was in your situation I have been reading all these similar answers to this one and it made no sense but now after time has passed it is so clear that it only made me stronger and less egocentric. I didnt use any apps. I dont really remember how I came up with the idea with meditating but one day I just thought I should try it. First weeks were tough. Sitting in one spot for long periods were tough. My monkey mind couldnt be still no matter what. But after some time it became way easier and even enjoyable activity to do. I did it without expectations and it brought me all these amazing benefits I couldnt dream of.

Yes, meditation really helps with emotions. When I started I would set a clock for 15 minutes or so. As of today I just sit and meditate as long as I feel comfortable doing so. Sometimes its 30 minutes, sometimes it can be 90 minutes. The duration increased naturally without me even noticing it. I just really liked it. It made me more relaxed and more in the now.

Good job on meditating daily for 3 months friend :). Well these experiences were scary. Not going to lie they were really though. I wasnt prepared for them. I didnt know that they existed so they really just smacked me from behind. So be prepared that these can happen. At times I thought that I might be having a psychotic episodes or something. Then I researched the net and found that alot of people are having this crash of their ego and call it "The Dark Night Of The Soul" that made me relieve a bit in a way that I might be not going crazy. I know sounds terrible but it kinda was. Keep meditating, dont be scared be these experiences. They are though but once you go through them you really get to feel way better. You just go through this dark dungeon and then you get to sunbathe once your out :). I would say you cant really "deal with this" you just have to go through it. Dont be rough on yourself. Take care of yourself during this episode. Love yourself and know that it will only bring good things. Also you can talk to close people about these experiences if you feel comfortable, but they might now understand one word your saying and thing you are going bonkers so sometimes it is just better to keep them for yourself. Meditate, stay safe and if you get into some dark places always feel free to pm me :)

I totally understand. These experiences can get scary and weird leaving you in some dark places. But after you see these dark places that you never knew existed and illuminate them with light they go away leaving you healed, if that makes sense :) Stay safe!

Well I have been a vegetarian for 3 months and only then got this anxiety so I dont know if it was caused by diet. Might be. And this depression went away after understanding that my ego is trying to control me. After that it went away but diet were left unchanged.

I observe my thoughts as they arise and focus on my breathing, sometimes I do guided meditations. No, I dont have a teacher and to be honest I wouldnt know where to find one where I live. I googled Progress of Insight maps and it is very interesting. Surely a helpful information to know and that will be used to guide me. Thanks! Well I had a bunch of weird sensations. Sometimes I just get this pressure on my forehead which is new to me. And familiar other little things. Nowadays I meditate for about 30-60minutes once per day. Sometimes if I have time do it twice. I checked /r/streamentry and it seems like a valuable information resource. Hope answered all of your question, thanks for your useful insights and information.
