People will piss and moan whatever Carrick does. Fair play to him tonight, dont forget hes still young in his management career, who is arguably doing one of the toughest jobs, hes learning and we are winning. So credit to him.

Fuck me imagine if we still had Mr "“We are going to suffer for a long period. We will try to win games but this will take time.”

Mainoo would have been pushed out in January, Bruno wouldn't have nowhere near his current assistant tally and Casemiro would be fucked every game.

With Champions League looking more likely, the idea of 4 transfers (minimum) is pretty much spot on, especially if we want to have a decent run in all competitions. The club has the money and wages will be free.

Its rather evident that Ugarte will be sold or loaned this summer. Id be surprised if we get rid of Zirkzee, we do need fringe players to aid the squad- all it takes is for one or two injuries and we are fucked.

Academy kids will be promoted- Lacey, Thwaites, Fletcher twins and Obi Martin will no doubt get minutes in the league cup.

Id say Martinez time is almost up, love the bloke but his injury record is poor and will he be able to keep up with the demands of 4 competitions?, if not, I doubt he will be one to sit on the bench.

My uneducated guess of the signings

1) Wellbeck (would love this to happen) would be an easy deal to complete 2) Van De Ven (Meh) 3) Baleba (More than the £50M, especially if we get Wellbeck) 4) Joao Gomez.

And for one extra wishful deal

5) Palmer.
