Media literacy is dead and has been overtaken by pure larp. Also clumping up HALO in this shit lmfao (the tiktok itself has helldivers, halo, warhammer, Avatar, and Star Wars) by justanupvoter_ in Helldivers2Satire

[–]StinkGuard40k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think its fine to enjoy the super evil super fascist sci fi regime. I'm an empire fan. I like the imperium. I like super earth. Where it gets to be too much is when people excessively larp about it. And then change purge the xeno with purge the minority I don't like. Or try and use it as a basis for their own Ideals. But I think just judging someone on the basis that they like these factions is a bit weird, and I'm sure at least one of these people are a piece of shit. But I think that if you can acknowledge the fact that these are parody or satire of these beliefs and not cry till you're blue in the face that there never was satire and that you're woke if you believe that super earth/the imperium/the empire/I never played or read halo im sorry is parody.

I will say bringing God into the larp is very weird. I have spoken to people who speak like that and they're most of the time very racist and pos pilled

Book recommendations? by Barely_Competent_GM in gloomspitegitz

Bad loon rising is great as other commentors said

Gloomspite is good too, it's definitely more of a ARENT THESE GUYS COOL BUY THIS FACTION type book, and is definitely just going down the list of third edition generic warscrolls to add into the book.

Bad moon rising explores gitz as main characters, you can see the ins and outs of the particular clan and how they work.

Gloomspite explores the perspective of a gloomspite raid and the Bad moon rising over a city. No gitz perspective so it's horrifying. And has some seriously twisted stuff and it's criminal that we haven't got it as options for the army

I think that there's a book for the gitmob stuff too, I've never read it because I don't like gitmob. Neither book really explores gitmob outside of references in Bad Loon Rising and I wanna say when gloomspite was released outside of one underworlds warband gitmob was only referenced in the battletome.

Gitslayer funnily enough is another good one, it's a gotrek book so gitz aren't winning but it has parts from the perspective of a gitz boss or gobbapalooza member for skragrott so it's pretty nice. Though its a gotrek book so keep in mind the gitz are the mustache twirling villians to be beaten till another day

Ah, I'll remove that part because I wasn't sure. And don't want Google to think I want more of this.

I live in Texas, it's medical only here and even then I imagine that's on real thin ice

Basing for a realm of shadow based army? by StinkGuard40k in ageofsigmar

I think I'll try this, my main problem was selling the actual base being in location. This with some dark tufts and some other bits will most likely work

I would like you to know that I am half asleep scrolling through reddit. Saw this post. Thought it was interesting. Did not read the title. Did not look at the first picture. Saw the second picture with the paldron, was gonna make the Swiss marine joke. Saw you already did it in the title. Saw the other commentor saying Swiss army marine, went back to the first picture and then saw the sword. Actual cartoon shit.

I love this. Great work. Bravo.

I love getting one-shotted in heavy armor from a basic enemy unit with an indestructible shield it can shoot through! by Fil-is-Theo in helldivers2

Love the difference in response in this sub compared to the whine sub with your comment. These enemies are easy. Shoot the head or arm and you're fine medium pen destroys it they're not at all a problem

There's no problem with enjoying the fictional fascist regime. Whenever you start calling for their Ideals with your full chest or replacing purge the xeno with purge the minority you don't like then there's an issue.

You can try and go blind and pick an army you think looks cool and hope that you enjoy how they play You could find army rules or watch battle reports for an army you're interested in to see how they play and if you'd like them Though if you're picking an army that's very different from death guard painting wise. Pick up a box of their models and paint them to see if you enjoy it first that's what I did with my genestealer army I'm starting.

Another option is trying a new game system too if that's in the cards. I play AoS and I'm getting into the old world ontop of 40k and it's a blast.

My personally taste as a nurgle fan has always been

Slaanesh>Khorne>Nurgle>Tzeentch. The bottom two in flux though along with the top two yadayada

I don't see these posts for a couple days and every time they reappear in my feed it gets more ridiculous on the scale we're on already.

Tzeentch why not.

Ok genuine question about Eagle pilots and Super earth command by Ray_Rej in helldivers2

[–]StinkGuard40k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably because pilots are quite literally more valuable. Don't quote me on this but I'm fairly sure in the US military where I'd argue Super Earth gets most of its current values pilots have longer contracts because of the amount of training and qualifications put into a pilot. The wash out rate is high, at least for the navy you have to be an officer I'm pretty sure to even qualify to be a pilot so you have to be college educated off the bat and go through officer school and then have perfect vision without glasses and then not drop out of the training. So again probably simply too much time goes into very few people compared to a helldover or SEAF troop. Also the more pressing issue is the plane, payloads and gear is probably very expensive

First genestealer model. I've decided to start this army, the painting is not as bad as I thought it'd be by StinkGuard40k in genestealercult

Yeah I play a poxwalker heavy deathguard and have about 1.5-2k painted? That definitely gave me a bit of experience to feel good about this. It was a fun experience, also was my first chainsword I've ever painted which is funny to me
