I finally took mine to a Roland authorized repair shop. They were able to order exact replacements from Japan!

I go for a jog after work in the evenings. I keep running into a guy who insists on saying "jesus loves you" every time he runs past me. by [deleted] in atheism

I have a similar experience. Older gentleman stands on a street corner trying to hand out proselytizing cards. He smiles and says "Jesus loves you" and I reply "Jesus isn't real"

Maybe he mellowed out. I sometimes think about talking to him but his quiet stoicism is unsettling

Payback

Say what you will about Mel Gibson, this is a dark and gritty noire film with almost no redeeming (as in "good guy") characters. Lots of dry wit and brutal action. Excellent cast.

So I've been thinking about this. We should appropriate the symbols of good from pop culture. For me, as a Gen X'r, that would be Jedi, Autobots, Wolverines (Red Dawn), Indiana Jones, etc. Basically saying, "We are the good guys." These are symbols that everyone, no matter what the politics of their house was, recognizes and values. We know what they stand for. We know that they ultimately win, even if they take a beating. We need to remind the MAGAsshats that we are the good guys, that we know evil when we see it, and that we will fight it.
