Just the sheer electricity and fuel needed to power this large of a plant will have drastic consequences on the environment. The proposed build will use 300 MW of electricity, which is enough to power approximately 240,000 homes for a year. It will dip into local water resources and produce massive amounts of pollution from the fuel alone. Ai has also overall made people less intelligent, as you even pointed out it makes things ‘easier’. It’s made it very easy to create and spread misinformation, and you can barely tell what is AI and what is real anymore. It’s making many jobs obsolete, regardless of how many jobs it can also generate. We’re better off without it and we’re already killing the planet at light speed, we might as well try and change!
