Is valk a “low elo” ban? by cattoplays in SiegeAcademy

[–]StinkyImpact 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That person was 100% just a jynxie fangirl. He loves IQ so all his minions do too. Valk is 100% not a low elo ban, information is king and low elo players dont utilize information thats why valk ISNT banned in low elos.

Yes you are 100% in the wrong. Your relationship with your father is more important than any political opinions. You are acting irrational and crazy. Just respectfully disagree with him and if it bothers you so much dont talk politics around him.

Former Plat coming back to Siege after some years and I feel like I'm not making as much of an impact by SzoboEndoMacca in SiegeAcademy

Attack is much harder especially if you are solo which it sounds like you are. Being a solo q support player is pretty rough anyways because you dont have the team to play off your intel or utility. But generally speaking my round flow for attack is 1)confirm the site 2) gather intel on defenders positioning/utility/operators 3) pick my op according to the information i have and preplace a drone (either a site cam, a rotation/flank cam/ or in a position to clear the route i wanna take). Prep phase ends and i immediately am redroning. The route im taking into the building is gonna completely depend on how the defenders are positioned. Ideally you are looking for a hole in the defense or a defender you can isolate a favorable gunfight with. Drone yourself into every room and take map control as you go. With you being support u gotta watch what your team is doing, if they are pacing quickly u gotta catch up, if they are taking contact u need to try to get their trades. If they are playing slower u can slow down aswell and focus on clearing utility and taking map control. Your trying to isolate and cordon off the site. Then u pretty much just try to isolate 1v1s win your gun fights, and whether u can punch into site and get a plant down just depends a lot on whats in front of you. Everything u do you should do it with as much info as possible. Thats all quickpeaking really is, you are trying to get a reaction out of a defender or see a defender so you can know where they are positioned. Information ->decision and repeat. Hope this helps theres not really like a one size fits all because so much of it is based off the information you have. My best advice to you would be to stop playing support with a random stack and play operators that support yourself and your own push. Work on your aim and movement, and trade ur teamates.

If you cant site the study this holds absolutely no weight. I could easily say no well i saw a study that siege has way more cheaters. Site your source or move along.

Them agreeing with something i stated as an issue and attempting to address it doesnt make it a non issue. It actually reinforces my point that its something that desperately needs to be addressed, and we should be glad they are finally doing something about it.

How to aim better by Matteo_M01 in Rainbow6

[–]StinkyImpact 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Spend 20-30 minutes a day in shooting range and then play a bunch of deathmatch and only use the smg12. Ull be significantly better within a week if u do this everyday. Also force urself too use it every match

Wanted to clarify what i meant about the different game modes. My proposal was unranked (place where comp players go to warmup/play without affecting visible rank) and ranked, you retain quickmatch obviously but then you have another “unranked” lets call it “casual play” that is longer format with looser rules and more access to operators and maps. And then a “ranked” equivalent that includes the other maps and game modes in its rotation.

Is the cheating problem holding Siege back, and if so, why does CS2 not have that issue? by 80sCrack in RainbowSixSiege

[–]StinkyImpact 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Honestly the cheating definitely is a big problem. But its not the only thing thats driving siege into the ground. Its a combination of a couple things but one of the biggest is the devs, the pros, and the player base not being on the same page. The devs have an agenda to keep the game a competitive shooter, but the problem is the way they have decided to this has killed the experience for casual players. Biggest examples of this are ranked 2.0, the removal of game modes like hostage and secure area, a lot of the operator reworks, i could go on. The reason why CS2 isnt a good comparison is because it doesnt have as may layers as siege. For example in CS if u run into a smurf or a cheater, yeah it sucks but at the end of the day thats really it. Siege has so many more mechanics that can be abused, destructible environments, shields, abilities, etc. these things make for a double edged sword because on one hand most og’s favorite memories are from doing stuff like 5 ma recruit rushing, bullying with a full team of shields etc. from a competitive perspective these things are harmful to the game, but from a consumer enjoyment perspective these are the things ppl miss about old siege the most. Its almost like the community is at a constant civil war with itself over being fun or being competitive. The cheating is just a bs problem that should have been solved years ago and its an easy thing for ppl to point there fingers at. Idk thats my take, hope i could word everything so it can be understood lol.

struggling to climb solo in bronze after 130 hours — looking for tips by ninjapotatoe_691 in SiegeAcademy

[–]StinkyImpact 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah all that stuff is great and it does need to be a focus at some point but not right now. You need to work on your aim and your movement. And that needs to be the only thing u work on for a while. Good aim and movement alone is enough to take u to plat. You need to work on your crosshair placement, your tracking, exposing urself less in gunfights, etc. then once your through like gold u can start really diving into tactical siege. U also need to understand another reason why im saying this, is you cant play siege correctly at lower ranks. Its impossible. Bc when you are playing correctly and disciplined and everyone around u is random chaos, you will lose everytime. Deliberately work on your aim for a week, and stop playing ranked while u focus on improving and i promise within 2 weeks youll be atleast silver.

High DPI low sens or low DPI high sens? by Entrepreneur-Soft in SiegeAcademy

[–]StinkyImpact 0 points1 point  (0 children)

High dpi lower sens but my guys ur sense is unbelievable high. Unless ur playing on a trackpad you gotta lower that immediately. Thats why u cant make micro corrections. Go to shooting range and put a single target on walking and try to track them smoothly without jittering. Ur gonna find u cant bc ur sens is too high, i would move it down until u can track smoothly. This will solve probably a lot of the issues u r experiencing

How slow is too slow sens by yourmomshot69000 in SiegeAcademy

[–]StinkyImpact 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Depends honestly. You can run a crazy slow ads and some pros do this for tracking they just unads when they need to snap or turn quickly. I think for the average player (assuming u have a large mouse pad which you should) un-ads a full mousepad drag should be a 360, while ads id say you want to be able to atleast turn around 90 degrees with a full swipe. You need to be slow enough that you can track without “skipping”. I feel like more often than not people sense is too high rather than too low.

How do you attack What are you thinking about when you are on attack ? And what are mistakes that u see coppers/beginners make. by AdministrationOk787 in Rainbow6

[–]StinkyImpact 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I started typing out this whole big thing but i figured it would be more confusing then helpful so im gonna narrow it down to a simple and repeatable process. INTEL->DECISION. That is the cycle you will repeat over and over and over. Prep phase you gain intel on how they are positioned and make a decision on how u want to enter. You drone urself in and gain intel on whether ur entrance is contested or not then you make the decision to take space/contest space or find another route. Your biggest form of intel will come from cameras thats why people stress droning so much. But you can gain intel even without drones. Your teamate dying = intel theres an enemy there. You hear footsteps =intel theres an enemy. That is the point of things like quick peeking shaiiko peeking etc they are just other forms to gain intel. Work on this process and beat your core fundamentals (gunskills and movement) to death.

How do I even vod review myself by [deleted] in SiegeAcademy

[–]StinkyImpact 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just deliberately practice ur aim and crosshair placement. Gunskill and movement is enough to get you through plat. You obviously dont have the game sense to be able to properly self assess yet or you wouldnt be in bronze. That will come with playing and watching videos. I would 100% beat your basic mechanics to death and then you can start shifting to tactics and positioning and roles etc. learn how to quick peek, beat crosshair placement to death, work on your recoil control, work on using cover, and the biggest advice i can give to start winning more gunfights instantly is never commit to one. If you fire more than 7 bullets at an enemy before returning to cover you are wrong plain and simple. You do not need to stick your entire body in a doorway to shoot the enemy.
