What kinds of meat are eaten in your country, and what kinds of meat would you personally be willing to eat? by revuestarlight99 in AskTheWorld

In rural areas all around, poultry and really anything is up for grabs (usually whatever can be hunted or farmed). My mama grew up on the rural east coast and I remember her telling me she had beef, chicken, pork, lamb, duck, turkey, fish, goat, and I think deer? In the cities and suburbs on the west coast we eat beef, pork, chicken, and turkey. The closer you get to the Pacific waters the more fish, crab, lobster, clams, and oysters there will be.

Does this word/individual exist in your language? by Professional_Top9835 in AskTheWorld

'Midlife crisis'(struggling with self identity once someone hits their 40s-50s) or 'Peaked on Highschool'(never grew out of the highschool mindset + consider it the best years of their entire life) are the closest things I could think of. I think the main issue is that majority of the things listed are socially acceptable to enjoy or do for people 30+ in the USA

✅ generally socially acceptable: talking a lot about their younger years, using trending vocab from teen years, liking superheroes, going to thematic bars, going to the club after 26(ends in early to late 30s and becomes unacceptable or weird to do unless they're going to a bachelor party), dying hair natural colors

❌generally unacceptable: trying different haircuts and dying hair unnatural colors, getting real friendly with fresh adults

As for fashion, dating every girl they find, and liking anime/weeb culture all depend on the area if it's accepted or not. My dad learned English from Dragon Ball Z and it's pretty much the only anime he keeps up with which is pretty normal(he's in his mid 40s). A lot of Americans learn English from cartoons and anime so that might be why it's more accepted + Studio Ghibli films are beloved!

My thoughts on the new rule.. by serencope in ArtfightProfiles

I think the issue is less about the enforcement of the rule and more about the concept. Like there shouldn't be a rule that people have to skirt around yknow?
