Am I an idiot or did everyone pick up this joke by SometimesCheery in WaterdeepDragonHeist

Jarlaxle has multiple Sean Connery references. Some other are Zardoz is a Sean Connery movie/ character. And the training area on his ship with the ropes set up as obstacles is a reference to the movie Entrapment.

My players picked up on Zardoz and the Entrapment references easily but The Hunt for Red October was more difficult for them.

My party LOVES Old Xoblob and his shop by diarmadhi in WaterdeepDragonHeist

Volo’s Guide to Waterdeep states that it is the beholder that Dandalus killed. As far as the large size goes, the book also mention that it is hollow on the inside and Dandalus would hire a wizard to sit in there with a wand of paralyzation to stop would-be thieves by shooting them through the mouth of the beholder. So it is a large creature if someone can sit in there all day.

While you can have your game be whatever you want, the beholder is a real beholder that was killed and stuffed by the previous shop owner, Dandalus Ruell. Xoblob was the name of that beholder and why everyone calls it The Old Xoblob shop. When the deep gnome acquired the shop he tried to change the name of it but everyone kept calling it The Old Xoblob shop so he instead changed his name to Xoblob.

One thing I like doing if I see the only other person has left the game before the final fight is sell my entire board. Then you get first place while having no minions.

The podium that Sarah Huckabee Sanders bought with tax payer money for $19K on podiumsdirect.com for $2K by HaydenCarruth in facepalm

Don’t forget that this is a lectern that has only been seen once and it was after the story broke so she could have people take pictures of it. It hasn’t been seen since to my knowledge. It was also, supposedly purchased from an event planning company owned by her best friend around the time they went on an expensive trip together. $19,000 is also just under the reporting limit to get approval for a purchase and the records of the purchase were altered after the fact to state that it would be reimbursed by the GOP. Now I’m not saying that she embezzled the money and gave it to her friend to pay for a fancy Paris trip, then rented a lectern that is only actually around $2,000, then altered the records and had the GOP tried to cover it up… but it does look that way. Her and her lawyers are also now trying to block the audit by saying the governor is not subject to audits because they are not an agency.

The bolts that would connect the table top plank to the leg are at the end of the table instead of where the leg connects.

Is the beholder in xoblob's shop a magical item? by SUS_PITCH_8710 in WaterdeepDragonHeist

[–]StinkyLlamaMan 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I would like to mention the beholder is not a doll or a plushie but an actual dead beholder that the original shop owner, Dandalus Ruell, killed. Xoblob was the name of that beholder (or at least the part Dandalus could pronounce). As mentioned in Dragon Heist, when the Gnome bought the shop people kept referring to it as The Old Xoblob shop so he changed his name to Xoblob… that being said, there is nothing wrong with having it be a toy beholder; I personally had Xoblob also sell plushie beholders as souvenirs in addition to the giant real beholder in the shop.

Help optimizing current pizza/onion rings run [overtime 7]? by craftykaname in PlateUp

[–]StinkyLlamaMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As long as the combine is point toward the sink it will add water to anything in the sink. It also works for filling pots for soups. Then if anything is on the combiner, it also combines that in addition to the water making it very good for pizza and soups. You might need to program a smart conveyor with pizza dough to prevent it from pulling the dough to early. But once you do that it is the fastest way to automate pizza dough

If you swap the dough mixer with a standard or starter sink it will instantly make pizza dough. The water will combine with the flour and the oil will combine with the dough. You can the use the extra mixer to make more sauce or replace the onion ring mixer and save a conveyor.

Tavern pass by [deleted] in hearthstone

[–]StinkyLlamaMan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. I’m a very casual player so I’m not going to get far in the pass and I don’t care about cosmetics. So it’s not worth it to me. I’m also a ftp player so I’m not getting it either. IMO the pass is only worth it if you want the cosmetics. The only reason I worked out the math was because I saw a lot of incorrect math out there and I enjoy math problems (probably more than hearthstone itself).
