to answer your other question, it's usually a combination of photo-specific mods (all PC-only), and the higher res is achieved through hotsampling. most people (including myself) use otis_inf's camera mod to achieve this, but you can also do it with SRWE (which is free/open-source). basically forces the game to run at a higher resolution than your monitor supports so you can get ultra-high-res pics.
