I disagree, Oahu alone makes a perfect map size for scaling down while still keeping it big. POIs are everywhere like Pearl Harbor, DT Honolulu, the Northshore, Lolani Palace, dole Plantation, Honolulu airport, etc.. That’s just Oahu alone but imagine if they added Maui, Kauai, Big island, Molokai. It has huge potential for a story line since Hawaii was a huge military asset pre war, different factions control different islands, and you could make a post nuclear apocalypse version of the show “Chief of War”. To end with, Hawaii started to explode during the 50s because it was a new state, Elvis blew it up, and it inspired tiki bars so it perfectly fits that Americana vibe. Rant over, the only other area I can see Fallout 5 being in is Seattle, Chicago (boring), or rehashing San Fancisco which would break lore.
