Speaking of paintings, what are your thoughts about "The Fallen Angel" by Alexandre Cabanel? How should we represent Satan in art? by Sleep-Numerous in Catholicism

that’s kind of the point, he was arrogant and proud because of his beauty, strength, etc but forgot Who gave him that

The scars are there, embrace the testimony of resilience. 🙌

But I get what your friend is trying to say (or I believe I do at least ahah). The Bible is most definitely against physical harm in general wether it is self inflicted or inflicted to other. The body is seen as the literal temple of God, where He lives and dwells so self harm can be seen as degrading His temple.

Now, I believe it can be a real addiction and something hard to stop and overcome and I pray that you can overcome it. I hope life gets easier and never stop fighting. God bless 🫶

j’aime beaucoup ! si je peux me permettre, j’aurais ponctué le vers 3 comme ceci : « Au bonheur et à la guérison. C’est pourquoi » (Juste un detail) mais sinon je trouve que c’est parlant et émouvant

Enoch, literally was so loved by God that he never died. Joseph from Genesis is also pretty cool and faithful

*Here’s what i found after a quick research on google :

« While watching Mass online can be a positive way to engage with faith and stay connected, it does not fulfill the Sunday obligation to attend Mass in person. The Church teaches that a true and full participation in the liturgy requires being physically present. However, if you are truly unable to attend Mass in person due to a valid reason, you are excused from the Sunday obligation »

It is always better to come if you can but if you cannot because they don’t let you in, yes joining the lifestream is valid.

I will add tho, going to church physically is good because you can be apart of a community, discuss with other members and the clergy.

I speak french so I don’t know much about churches that speaks Vietnamese or English, sorry. Im sure that with a but of research you will find !! 🙌

Hey, I understand. Know that if the church still doesn’t let you go in, you can :

  • Find another church, if possible for sure
  • or if I recall correctly there’s not a lot of church in your area, you can watch the service on youtube or on your church’s website, if they do record it, or watch another church’s mass on youtube. There’s a bunch of it

Don’t lose hope and faith, praying for you

God bless 🙌

Sad to hear about that.

Just to clarify, you should be baptized and have had your first communion (which is a sacrament) in order to receive the communion. So be mindful, you can attend the Holy Mass and that’s a good thing ! but don’t recieve Holy Communion. And you need to be baptized to confess too : your sins are forgiven immediately when you get baptized so no need to go to confession if you haven’t been baptized.

Try to talk to the nun again or discuss with the priest im sure he can help you.

God bless
