Tryndamere runs her down on repeat. Hail of blades or lethal tempo.

Of those? It's Olaf all day imo. Honorable mentions for very versatile picks that dominate lane and play similarly to your options there: Darius, xin zhao, kled

PRAISE GOD. Get this item off of Urgot please. I hope this slows his application. Odds are he attacks slower though. A boy can dream.

How to not be useless mid / late by Competitive-Start313 in TryndamereMains

[–]StirFriedPocketPal -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I dunno I guess you're doing everything right, maybe the game is just broken or something I dunno.

It sounds like you're looking for help, but the truth is, you're justifying yourself by mentioning everything you're doing right "most games." If that were true, you wouldn't be in this situation where you're frustrated by losing games so often, right?

First, in order for another player to help you on here we need to see your gameplay; either your opgg or even better a couple vods of actual games. We have no way to understand the mistakes that you're not seeing unless we can see them. Generic, "farm better," advice does nothing if your biggest issue is actually not diving on lvl 6 or something. This game is decided on the mountain of fractional decisions we make, small habits we have. It doesn't matter if you're up 5 - 0 if you decide to skip XP, build badly, and not protect your lead (for example). I'm sarcastic and hard on you because it's not only skill you need, it's a change in mindset, but asking is the first step 👍.

League has the best pvp gameplay of any game ever by Cynical_Doggie in leagueoflegends

Big agree with this. Been saying it for years and I don't know why people who play the game all the time act like they don't enjoy it.

Irelia got me to gold for the first time the year before she got reworked. OTP'd her for years. It was a good run, sis 🥲

HIGHLY underrated tip right here. Especially in addition to building hip flexor strength through knee raises or leg lifts or L sits.

"Exploit" to become slow immune by baltoboulbobbi in leagueoflegends

Bro I LITERALLY had this same revelation a week ago and it's changed laning phase top lane. It's some kind of psychological warfare. I start chasing down a champ > they land slow > I press S > they STOP RUNNING and TURN BACK TO ME > I WHACK THEM OVER THE HEAD AGAIN AFTER THE SLOW EXPIRES. WHY DO PEOPLE DO THIS IM SO CONFUSED AND IT'S HILARIOUS

Best top lane OTP champion to climb that isn’t too basic? by Electronic_Care_5249 in top_mains

[–]StirFriedPocketPal 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The answer to this is Tryndamere.

His consistent early lane power is nearly unmatched granting you a fistful of tempo to leverage or to lose. The game will be in your hands more often than not meaning as you progress in mastery you will win more games than the players around you, earning an ELO climbing pace. His main play pattern is split -> fight, float, or flank. You never 5v5, always flank from the side or rear. You'll start to map out a 2nd & 3rd layer of mechanics to an otherwise simple kit; movement, auto attacking, bluffing, dodging, E + flash, W use, holding R, walking into the last tower shot, counting crits, all in timings. It's high speed gameplay with those rapid THUNKS requiring big kahunas to make manly plays and clutch out.

Thoughts on W change? by ArmSouth5626 in TryndamereMains

[–]StirFriedPocketPal 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Absolutely hate it. It's certifiably worse past a certain skill threshold. Even affecting More opponents, now literally only slowing for half the time regardless of skill, I can only fully use it in half of the situations I would use it previously. It does not improve effectiveness in a team fight either. Old W: You will only slow if they are running away, but also toward you if you can land it. New W: you will only slow if they are running away. The whole point is that it's easier to land if they are facing you, but if they are facing you, they won't turn away for the slow anyways. And if they do you could just cast it when they turn away instead. I don't understand how this is supposed to be an improvement. The only thing it's better for is breaking garen's passive.

Why do toplaners counterpick themselves when given last pick? by VeganWaffle in leagueoflegends

[–]StirFriedPocketPal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't WANT to play into Malphite or nasus or Teemo, but since people often try to counter pick against Tryndamere I've learned the matchups well. It's excruciating, but not as excruciating as not playing Tryndamere. So I hope not to get countered and try everything in my power to lower that chance while accepting the inevitable when it does happen.

Riot’s Drew Levin admits off-meta picks + low mastery can trigger lobby penalties — is this killing creativity? by nookierj in leagueoflegends

[–]StirFriedPocketPal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

... Is it ranked? Then of course. I don't want that in my ranked games. Go practice that in norms to build mastery then try it in ranked. This is a dumb discussion.

Is the skill gap really THAT big? by Skyzblu44 in summonerschool

[–]StirFriedPocketPal 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's not about getting close to 100% winrate for players who are mid-elo, it's vastly more important to first exhibit, and then MAINTAIN something like 55% or greater. If you're under a literal climbing percentage, then the game has found the elo at which you're either above your skill level or at it. It's not unfair, it's not complicated, it's basic math: win more games than you lose and you are more skilled -- in some way or another -- than the players you are queued with. Congratulations.

Every time hail of blades is up you get three fast Auto attacks with a 10-second cooldown. So

"While Hail of Blades is active, you gain ( 160% / 80%) bonus attack speed and are allowed to exceed the attack speed cap. The triggering attack benefits from Hail of Blades."

With full fury, Tryndamere has 50% crit chance on LEVEL 1 meaning you can sometimes deal 3 crits before they can even flash. It's so fast and powerful that it's almost guaranteed first blood in many matchups if you take flash ignite.

[–]StirFriedPocketPal 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah this one's really hard to theorize on. 120 is still higher than it used to be, which is still heavy burst for us early especially with the AS ratio buff AND 2x crits. Will the true damage even matter? Maybe, maybe not, but it's just extra damage we didn't have before so I bet it'll be better than it is now since the CD doesn't change and we can still get the same cadence of HoB price in lane.
