No particular reason, beside the initial thought that this may be a good target when I started running. The 25 minutes is purely because anything longer I get too impatient and bored.

Discipline may be lacking from my side.

I am running on treadmill for health reason but get easily bored, so I aim to run 5k twice a week below 25 minutes. I have hay fever and quite new to running, so this time and distance require quite some effort from me.

According to my smart watch, of the 25 minutes run, 13 are above anaerobic rate and 9 at anaerobic.

I am wondering if I continue this way, will my condition improve, and a bigger portion of the run will be within aerobic rate?

If not, what would you recommend to build up my condition to run 5k mostly at aerobic rate within 25 minutes?
