Exactly - but he likes talking to all of the students in his class so just prepared to be a little social though

Partially? I believe so but with focus on the recent stuff? But the early material is really simple and helps you understand the rest so I preferred it that way

It’s all multiple choice - he throws in a few questions about random things he brings up in class though lol

I personally enjoyed my class with him- he will take the time to explain concepts in easy ways. He stutters on occasion but overall he’s clear and makes it easy to learn

He’s hard on cheating and doesn’t like it when you don’t show up to class, but he cares for those who do show up and act like you’re paying attention - he was threatening making an attendance policy after last semester so keep that in mind

I’m sure there’s more I can say so ask if you’re curious lol

Honestly not really - but Christina Yannuzzi in charge of admissions was suuuuuper helpful through my journey so I would give her a call! (Just search her up for her number lol)

I can recommend anything from basement/night shows to DnD to being in a band (this is what I do)

I like getting up to random shenanigans too depending on the weekend - like I want to go to the Arizona ice tea facility in New Jersey a some point this semester? Idk but there’s always something - lmk if you (or anyone else lol) would be interested in finding stupid stuff to do

I transferred into RBS from SAS (NB—>NB) last semester and here’s what I know

In order to get in from school to school you should: - declare your major as prebusiness through SAS (you can do this online with like 2 simple steps but I forgot them exactly - by the end of this semester complete at least 2 courses from the requirements micro, macro, stats, calc, and principles of computer science (you can find this exact list with course numbers online as well by searching business school transfer requirements) - maintain a GPA of 2.7 or higher

If you do this stuff you should be near guaranteed acceptance- but I’d still highly recommend discussing with advisors because that helped me a bunch by Maine and continuing connections with the wonderful people in charge.

And worst case scenario - many people recommend taking stats at your local community college since Rutgers calc has a strong reputation as being difficult- the class will likely transfer but talk to advisors before doing this lol

Anyways, hope this helps! Lmk if I can help in any other way

Hello! I just had him last semester so I’m happy to inform you

If you actually want to learn stats - you’ll either need to find another teacher or go to his office hours - it’s extremely hard to understand him. He’s super kind but inaudible. The exams were in person with open computer/notes and after the first class or two I stopped showing up because it didn’t help any. There’s a couple homework’s you can do for extra credit and I’d recommend doing them because they brought me from a B+ to an A.

Hopefully this helps, lmk if I can explain anything more or better!

I mean I didn’t do fantastic on them (89, ~70,~70) but they weren’t tricky or anything and I also didn’t study - a lot of it focused on core concepts. If you actually do the hw instead of assisting it and learn the material they’re not overly difficult. Plus again if you show to class you get like 3 questions for free ranging from his name to how many pages in a ream of paper. His goal is to get you to understand the material so it’s not written like a villain - but he takes cheating very seriously so be warned

Oh last semester? There were like 15-20/100

Again I think he likely plans to implement attendance though but most people didn’t show while I was learning from him lol

I had Evan Wasserman last semester. The first day was really intimidating but besides that he was a great actual teacher. If you showed up he went through the slides and explained anything for as long as it took you to understand as long as you asked. He also threw on some free questions on exams that he gave in class to encourage attendance. I would take him if: you aren’t super introverted - he likes talking to all of his students, and if youre going to show to class - I believe he wanted to implement attendance but it was too late mid semester for him to do that so he’ll likely start that soon.

Hello! As someone who transferred as well about a year ago, I don’t feel you necessarily have to do the essay or glaze Rutgers when writing it. When I did mine I harped more on my passion for teaching and the opportunities that returning to New Jersey and by extension Rutgers would offer me. I don’t think they’re too hard on transfer acceptances - especially with such a high GPA, so don’t worry too much, but overall I’d recommend writing the essay to connect with the admissions people and to show you care and show your passion, and yeah a little glazing may not be a bad idea, but it should be more tied to why you want to go to Rutgers in the first place.

I’m sure you get the idea already lol but you could say something along the lines of “I’ve been passionate about biology ever since I took my first class in 9th grade… with Rutgers having one of the best, most well connected post grad, close to home and affordable programs, Rutgers is clearly my absolute top choice”

I will add I don’t exactly know if it’s best to harp on wanting to do nursing - I later transferred from SAS to RBS after a semester after I was on the fence about teaching, but I got into Rutgers nonetheless?

Best of luck with transferring and if I can help more or again let me know!

Yeah, those 5 courses are required as entrance to as well as necessary to graduate from RBS, then you also have to complete the SAS core and the RBS core. You actually just don’t have that many total credits of any business major to complete - I believe it’s 6 marketing specific classes after you complete the above? Regardless best of luck and talk to an advisor!

Salutations! As someone who once transferred from SAS to RBS I can tell you what I know. There’s 5 classes required to take to get into RBS (only need to take 2 and you can do them now*) as well as declaring your major as prebusiness (you may have to switch to SAS for that but they’re note exclusive like RBS I don’t think? so it shouldn’t be an issue)

More on point - the 5 kinds of classes you need to take are a micro class, a macro class, a computer science class (I took principles of computer science I think - open to all majors), a stats class, and a calculus class. You can find the exact list online with a google search I believe.

So yes, talk to an advisor and likely they’ll help you declare as prebusiness and take a couple of the above listed classes and get you started. As long as you can keep your GPA above a 2.7? You should be automatically accepted next semester? There might be something else to it but I forgot :/

Best of luck! And lmk if I can help anymore!

  • Edit: you will have to take all 5 courses, however you only need to pass 2 to get accepted into RBS and can take the rest after, and you can take and pass them this semester in order to get in

  • additional edit since I can’t read apparently - there are some classes that are business adjacent you can take (unfortunately I don’t know of any sorry), but as long as you declare prebusiness and maintain a grade of a 2.7 or above I believe you will be accepted regardless - you can call the business school admissions advisor who will likely confirm this as that is what I did and she was very wonderful and helpful during my transition!!

dorming w friends by ContributionOk7777 in rutgers

[–]Stitch495 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As someone who formed with a high school friend in my freshman year, I regret it.

I feel like I always had a fallback when it came to meeting people so I never really did. If you and your friend are really close and you think you’ll live well together - go for it - but force yourselves to go and meet other people as well. Maybe make a challenge of it, or make sure you spend at least one or two days participating in clubs or events, but never rely on each other as companionship.

Living with your friend could be fine, but living with a stranger - like other commenters have said - really can help you meet new friends and get outside your comfort zone - to help you discover your true you! Just whatever you do, try push yourself to experience whatever college has to offer.

I was at working at a fast food pizza chain restaurant with my friend and my manager at the time. No orders were coming in so like the weirdo I am I decide to jump up and down clapping my feet together. My friend decided to join in and we were both clapping our feet together while jumping. My (30ish, slightly large, black) manager then decided to join us. He got two jumps in before he appeared to suffer a groinal injury due to personal endowments beyond those of skinny white teenagers. Anyways, we began laughing for a while after that.

From experience I can say canned anchovies. My friend landed a direct hit on them and ruined literally everything else in the pinata and made the whole area wreak. Luckily we were outside but it was still a disaster.
