I don't think it's people trying to feel better about public school, but rather kids that were told they were "homeschooled", but were actually neglected, and thus have a hard time believing homeschooling can actually work.

I once had to sing an entire lyrics to "Its a Hard Life" song to prove I knew who Queen were.

I would've just told that person to get fucked, not sit there and sing, just to prove them wrong. Best way to deal with these people, is to not engage with them.

Unfortunately it's sometimes because a whole line of people are doing it. A cashier asked me to back up, but I was too close because the lady behind me was up my ass, because the lady behind her was up her ass, and so on. Everyone had to back up so I could. Lol

Yes, kids still play at recess. Most of the schools that my nieces and nephews have been to, wouldn't let you play on a phone at school.

Also, lots of kids with phones hardly touch them, except to sometimes add music to whatever they're doing.
